Let’s get back on track! My ‘nature lover’s quilt’ is coming along very well for my brother @foragemindset , inspired by where he and his wife live — the Black Forest in SW Germany. This quilt project is now 45% complete. Next, the trees!! Ahhh. I think the trees will be very fun to make. #quilt #woodlandquilt #forestlover #naturelover #blackforest

My ‘nature lover’s quilt’ is coming along nicely for my brother @foragemindset , inspired by where he and his wife live — the Black Forest in SW Germany. This quilt project is now 15% complete. I can’t wait to add a few clouds and start making the mountain ranges as I work down the quilt. #quilt #woodlandquilt #forestlover #naturelover #blackforest #germany

A nature lover’s quilt🪡🧵 in the making (2% competed)! Shifting my fashion designing skills to making a special request ‘nature-infused’ quilt for my big brother @foragemindset inspired by the Black Forest in southwest Germany where he lives. #quiltdesign #naturequilt #naturelover #quilt #forest #germany #blackforest

Now that I am back in the states, what’s my next sewing🧵🪡 project to keep me busy, busy, and more busy?🤭 My big brother, Al Lou, asked me to make a special quilt — a quilted throw for their couch — for their living room in their new home. Honest confession, I have never made a quilt before — only a small baby quilt for my niece eons ago, but nothing like what I will attempt. A little intimidated about this project and totally up for the challenge! Since they live in the Black Forest region in southwest Germany, the quilt will be inspired by my beautiful sis-in-law’s (Cloudy Snuff) German heritage — nature in the Black Forest. I’m drawing inspiration from our fall 2024 visit and their quilt will include: trees, waterfall, ground coverings of different shades, a sunset sky, perhaps a castle atop a mountain, and mushrooms. Can’t forget about the mushrooms!!🤭 #quilt #forest #forestquilt #germany #blanket
