The Foundry is joining Forage in Ojai for a specialty floral jewelry workshop! Think life drawing, with fresh floral arrangements in place of live models and wax in place of a pencil.
🌸
We’ll explore the wax build-up method, creating organic shapes inspired by petals, stems, and whatever catches your eye. You’ll also learn to incorporate cast-in-place stones into your design before we cast your piece in bronze or sterling silver after the workshop.

Come embrace fall with a creative afternoon, meet new friends, and make something one of a kind. Light snacks and refreshments included.

🗓 November 7 | 1–3 PM
📍 Forage • 110 E Matilija St, Ojai, CA 93023
🌿 Ages 16+
$190 includes wax, stones, and supplies; casting priced separately.

Reserve your spot through the link in The Foundry’s bio.

This design-forward wedding at Spanish Hills paired a refined palette of black, white and gold with lush organic florals, layers of candlelight, custom-ordered sculptural installations and twinkle lights overhead. Even the smallest details—from the tablescape to the desserts—became part of the overall wedding design.

Elegant, sculptural and just unexpected enough. ✨

There’s something really special about getting incredible people together for a good cause. 🤍✨

Family Fun Day was filled with laughter, teamwork, new friendships, and a whole lot of heart. So grateful to be part of a NACE community that shows up for each other ✨ We had so many fun treats and were able to make donations to the wonderful organization @jamesstorehouse ✨

Already looking forward to the next one. 💛

Look Ma’, my mural made it to the front page of the @ojaivalleynews Art & Culture section 🤗

+ shoutout to my main man Milton Glaser who inspired the quote that was featured. Here’s the full excerpt- because credit is owned where credit is due:

I’m unabashed in taking it a step further, saying that public art has the power to foster communal experiences that can literally be a tool in creating world peace.

One of my favorite quotes to reference during my decade-long professorship was one from the revered design legend Milton Glaser. I’m paraphrasing here, but he says:

“Art performs this pacifying function in culture… Its practitioners create commonalities… (ART) is a device to prevent people from killing one another, because they all become part of a single experience.... This is what artists do in culture — artists provide that gift to the culture, so that people have something in common, something they can share”

I’m so grateful for all of the love this mural has been getting. A huge thanks to @ojaivalleynews for the feature and to the best clients @forageojai and @pixiesgeneralstore for trusting me with their visions in bringing this to life 🌸🍊

The making of the latest addition to #SBFAMurals ✨

A bouquet of florals and pixies, painted for Forage Ojai @forageojai and Pixies General Store @pixiesgeneralstore, but really, painted for Ojai itself 🌱

The mural serves as both a visual representation of the businesses that commissioned it and a reflection of the spirit of the valley. Both elements speak to the region’s natural beauty, rich agricultural landscape, and community identity.

This one was a long time coming. Talks began back in September 2025, design was locked in by December, and what followed was a four-month juried approval process through the @cityofojai and its Public Art Commission — including an in-person review at the mural site.

I’ll be honest: I went into this naively thinking I’d be on-site painting by January, but experiencing the level of care, conversation, and consideration that goes into shaping the community visually made the entire experience even more meaningful and rewarding.

The amount of positive feedback and encouragement I received from the community while painting the mural last week was genuinely overwhelming in the best of ways.

Thank you, Ojai - it’s been such an honor to leave my mark on your already beautiful city, and I’m counting down the days until my return🍊

P.S. an extra thanks to @createwithgusto for accompanying me for the first couple of days and to @elizabeth.soarez for connecting me with the most wonderful new clients!
