RACE THE PROS RECAP
An insane event representing @socialstriders_nz !

Last night our little team went all out and ended up coming away with a win lol, crazy considering half of our bodies were fighting against us and we had no idea what on earth we had been signed up for.

But more importantly, we got to experience how cool the Christchurch running community is, and spend our Thursday night with some great people

The shoessssss

Where does this man play on the weekends and how do I get invited

Dream Team pre race (the most nervous I’ve ever been)

The start and finish line oooooooh

Ash and I looking like heat lamps

Catch me wearing this around hagley

Dream team post race!

Massive thank you to the team over at @frontrunnercolombo !! Going to events like these feels fever dream ish, but they are the backbone of our running community and show how important this sport is to so many people. Last night wasn’t just about trying to run fast it was also a little celebration of how much running positively affects so many of us!!!

Week 6/14 Marathon Prep ✅

A damn good week in the books. Didn’t plan on running 30km on Sunday but felt like pushing myself. Super proud of that run because legs were already sore, only had 1 gel, and was pretty windy, but we got it done baby. My longest run ever!😮‍💨

Also planning on doing some hill training every week to prepare for the inclines/declines that Queenstown will have.

But next week is gonna be a well deserved deload. Still have 8 weeks of training to go, so wanna stay fresh and not burnout.🙏
