“I’ve been head down on the smelly streets of London for a couple of years. I went back home for a few weeks. I felt wind, sun, and ocean on me. Every day I played in the sea with my friends and in my backyard with some mud.” We are excited to have new work by Josh Taylor (Fords Factory), a multidisciplinary artist from Mount Maunganui, now based in London. Working primarily with ceramics, Taylor’s practice explores form and material through both sculptural and functional objects. A graduate of Massey University Wellington with a BDes(Hons) in Industrial Design, his approach is driven by process and material experimentation. Email hello@grocer.gallery for catalogue of works.

‘Untitled,’ 2024, by Riley Richards. Guitar body, shells. (33 x 38 x 14 cm). ‘Ship,’ 2025, by Joshua Taylor. Balsa, ceramic, building blocks, paint, electrical parts. (30 x 26 x 16cm). ‘If the non-site is a picture, and the site is a place in itself, where does the off-site exist? As stated, the off-site is not a type of place. We can ‘be’ off-site, but never ‘go to’ an off-site. ‘Off-site’ simply denotes a position away from a site. At this distance, the space between here and there collapses in concertinaed folds.’ - excerpt from ‘On Off-Sites,’ 2025, by Felix Ashford. (Available to read online via link in bio). Currently on view in ‘XI: Off-Site Show’ at RTA HQ. Open by appointment daily until 15.4.25. 280D Caledonian Road London UK N1 1BA Photography by @m8r8s.studio @rileybeaurichards @fords_factory_ @content_creator.1120 #rileyrichards #joshuataylor #rtaprojects
