Jo and Pork Chop’s manga world was brought to life by @foreignpolicydesign ca. 2018

A full shokudo-inspired visual world where Jo and Pork Chop live in manga panels, featuring Kanji-influenced logotype that carries the weight of traditional Japanese visual culture, and electric colours that captures our whole personality.

Thanks so much Yah-Leng for joining our jury for the 2026 Design Kids Awards!

Yah-Leng is Founding Creative Director of @foreignpolicydesign, a Singapore-based strategy and design office, and the first female designer from Singapore inducted into Alliance Graphique Internationale, where she served a term on its International Executive Committee as Asia Chair.

Forget the usual awards circuit. International Creative Awards is looking for the best creative and design work all across the world: the raw, the unconventional, the stuff that doesn’t play it safe.

I’m on the jury for Branding this year.

Deadline is 31 July 2026. Get your entries in. Tick tock, time is ticking.

Yah-Leng Yu (@yahlengyu) quit an engineering degree after one year. She knew from week one it was wrong. What followed — Boston, New York, luxury fashion, Singapore — wasn't a detour at all! Co-founder of Foreign Policy Design Group, she's spent her career building work that means something, and platforms that make sure more designers get to be seen doing the same.
