CRUMB & CO. FEATURE 🤍

When every loaf is a work of art.

The beautiful creations from @forestandfernbakery go far beyond the bake.. each loaf is carefully scored and transformed into something completely unique. The artistry and attention to detail are incredible.

We’re so happy to celebrate a baker who truly makes sourdough an art form. 🤍

Valentine’s loaf fresh from the oven and I’m a little obsessed with how this one turned out 💗
Inspired by: @forestandfernbakery (thank you for the beautiful idea!)

Process was simple but so fun — pop her into the freezer for a quick 20-minute first, then a light mist of water, parchment hearts placed on top, dusted with Thai rice flour, removed the hearts, then scored. The contrast and detail came out so lovely! I’m obsessed! ❣️

Just finished prepping a batch of these fun Valentine loaves for upcoming weekend orders — I love getting to play and be creative with sourdough ✨

Flour, water and salt! These loaves are my favorite and easiest artisan recipe, pain au Belle, by Shannon, @sourdoughschoolhouse .

For 5.5 years, I’ve been making sourdough using her methods. They allow me to make bread on my own schedule, not make a precise schedule dictate when I bake. Interested in learning from Shannon? Go to sourdoughschoolhouse.com to find her workshops.

Happy holiday baking all!
