Hello yogis! Please do not take this picture literally! The provincial mask order goes into effect tomorrow however it only states that masks are to be worn in common areas. Please arrive to the studio with your mask on and feel free to remove when you arrive to your space and if you want to wear during your practice, you can do that too! Class sizes are not capped at this point and we will still have heat and high intensity for fitness classes.

Who’s ready to kick it up a notch? HOT YOGA is thing again tomorrow 🙌🏻

We are following all current restrictions in the studio and are happy that we are slowly getting a little bit of our normal back 🙏🏻Class sized are still very limited. For classes which we can create 10ft between members not in the same social/household circles, NO MASKS, otherwise masks are required. In a few weeks time the spacing will hopefully be decreased so we can have more energy filling the room ⚡️

The instructors have been eagerly waiting to add high intensity back into their classes so make sure you get hydrated! You guaranteed haven’t sweat the way you are going to when you visit us this week ❤️

Our prayers have been answered! We’re beyond grateful to share that our doors are opening again tomorrow 😅
Class sizes are still very limited and the heat won’t be cranked to what we like however it’s a start to get the where we will eventually get!
Masks are required everywhere in the studio including your mat 😷 and please give all members in the community space by following social distancing. One booking per day (feel free to ask if there is room in follow class and you can take an empty spot), late cancellation and no show fees in full effect! If you are not feeling well or have come into contact with someone that has travelled and or tested positive, do not come into the studio.

Excerpt from today’s writing as promised:

Once, in high school I had a dance partner who was on the crew team. At some point I remember the very vivid the sensation of her calluses on my hands.

It sent sparks through my nervous system.

All at once my entire being was overwhelmed with a sense of drive and passion and dedication. Not just at rowing, but in so many other areas of her life. I recognized how she brought this energy to her friendships and her studies and her family and I couldn’t help but understand that in one way her commitment to excellence was one of her great beauties, yet it was also fueled by, and the source of so much pain.

For all the thick skin she had developed on her hands, her heart was still tender and vulnerable.

Unsure of what to say I mumbled, “I like your calluses.”
“Oh my God. We, no. They’re gross.” She replied.
“I feel like they’re a reflection of your dedication and discipline. I like them.”
“Women should have soft hands.”
“That’s silly. 😅”
“Just drop it, ok?” She said, withdrawing from my touch.
“I’m sorry.”
