So I finally got over to our neighbor’s shop @forevermoodfinds and spied these @coliac_official ‘Ferny’ shoes…in the jewelry case! 💎

@melissascoppa your 𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗨𝗡𝗔 bracelet IS good luck. ✨

‘𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗨𝗡𝗔’ is Italian for ‘good-luck charm,’ and goldsmith-jewelry designer Melissa’s is a wonderfully talismanic chain of small yet substantial gold symbols—each link carrying its own little story and a 💎.

I love supporting the work of fellow independent jewelry designers, especially when the jewelry does its job. ✨

As for the jeweled footwear: circa 2017 black leather derbies, pointy toes, faux pearls + crystal-set piercing bars reminiscent of surface-bar jewelry (had two in my neck eons ago), and a low heel edged in baguette cut crystals, practically unworn…HELLO!

There’s something wonderfully old-school about adorning a shoe with jewels. They immediately made me think of the glittering cut-steel shoe buckles and ornaments of the 18th and 19th centuries.💫

Swipe for the accomplice by @melissascoppa with a @gemcorps jade stack.
