Before the session, I reviewed her socials, took her questionnaire responses into account and planned the content around her actual treatments and clients booked that day.

I love this quote because I think it perfectly describes what happens when you really fall in love with a skill.

When I first started doing lashes, so much of it was just learning what to do with my hands. How to isolate, how to place a lash properly, how much adhesive to use, how to make everything sit the way I wanted it to. Then, the more I learned, the more I realised how much thought actually goes into creating a beautiful set. You start understanding different eyes, noticing tiny details and making decisions that you probably would not have even thought about when you first started.

Eventually, you develop your own taste and your own way of doing things. That is the part I love most. It stops feeling like you are simply “doing lashes” and starts feeling like you are creating something.

It is also quite special knowing that something I once had to learn from scratch has become a skill that has given me an income, a business and now something I get to teach to other women too.
