This PEM came unexpected.
I thought, everything was fine. The end of the month was emotionally turbulent, but otherwise, it's been a normal month, I thought.
Emotions don't cause this kind of PEM for me anymore.

They could possibly have contributed, but I think there's a lot more to it.

🗓️ So it started on the first day of my period, Thursday June 22. I felt like I was hit by a bus.
Mast cells have been activated. You know that heavy toxic feeling?

I continued doing my usual things in the evenings, when I felt better.
Thursday I went to my dance class as usual.
Friday evening I went out with the girls. Nothing special, just walking in the city and eating out.

Saturday I woke up with a huge PEM which still continues.
I worked through it (I can't think of taking a sick leave from my job), and otherwise I've been laying low.
It's rough.

I was thinking and thinking about what caused this.
I have 2 contributors in mind.

1️⃣ Probably, I've been increasing my gym reps way too fast. I was so happy I could finally go to the gym, that I overdid it. Too much sympathetic activation.
I forgot my own main rule: SMALL STEPS.

2️⃣ Secondly, in the past month I've added 15 g cocoa powder daily to my smoothie, and avocado. I also have doubts about some other food items of my diet.
How did this contribute to what's happening? It's a whole big topic, maybe I will talk about this another time, if you are interested.

All these things probably activated my mast cells, and my menstruation pulled the trigger and shot me in the head.

Every small thing intensifies symptoms now, untill I'm out of this.
I'm still recovering, I hope I'll get to the other side of this soon.

I'll be making a few changes. It's not easy, but it's necessary.
I don't want to be crashing like this anymore. I want to be stable and make gradual steps towards recovery.
