It’s fair season 🤗🎢🎡 @ncmountainstatefair is here until Sunday, September 20th!

Only an hour from Greenville, South Carolina, you’ll find the North Carolina Mountain State Fair (next to the Asheville Airport.

📍WNC Agricultural Center
1301 Fanning Bridge Rd. Fletcher, NC

The highlights:
- The food 😋 we had no shortage of fair food - from cotton candy and funnel cake to turkey legs and fried Oreos - we had it all. The Best Bites for me: 1. Fried Oreos 2. Turkey leg from @bustin_butts_bbq and 3. The loaded fries from @forketmenot 🍟🍗🔥

- The gondola ride - being able to see a birds eye view of the the fairgrounds and the mountain views was just magical! Even saw a plane landing at the airport. ✈️🎡

- The games - From being humbled at hoops to the exhilarating watergun game, I honestly felt like a kid again!! 🥹🎉🏀

Tickets are only $5-$12 and I am already wanting to go back before it’s gone.

At the very least, don’t wait 15 years like I did! 🤪😅🙈

Send this to your friends and family to go check out the fair this week!

And a HUGE THANK YOU to my friends @caidybrasurehair and @thelocal.greenville for helping me eat my way through the fair. Had an absolute BLAST ✨🤗👏🎉

Ride of the day😅 we were so busy today I totally forgot to go on a ride until we were walking out again at the end of the night and already passed the sky glide lol - here I am carting the girls to the parking lot for shift change🎢🎢🎢

Had to try out the freedom fries from @forketmenot 🔥
They won best savory snack at the fair food showdown - that’s BBQ ranch on top and then queso in the middle, oh and the fries are a mix of waffle, fresh cut & steak fries!

It's that wonderful time of year again, @ohiostatefair time! July 29th-Aug 9 for the fair this year! They've added some new buildings and a children's carousel, but we focused on the eats 🤌 We also got to go on the sensory friendly morning, which was great, and on Thursdays you can get $3 items from food stands! We love the $3 Thursdays so we can try more items from more places. They also have a new people's choice award where you can vote on what you loved at the fair 🎡☀️
.
Slide 1: $3 "mini" (still pretty big imo) elephant ear doused in cinnamon sweet butter and topped with powdered sugar
.
Slide 2: New drink this year the Match Lemonade! This was fantastic and may be our vote for the peoples choice award 🍋
.
Slide 3: The Oklahoma smash burger from @forketmenot with onion and cheese and smash sauce on the side...absolutely delicious 🤤
.
Slide 4: $3 chocolate and chocolate peanut butter swirl soft serve ice cream cones. We had them at the peak heat of the day after walking 5 miles, perfection no notes 🍦
.
Slide 5: fried cheese on a stick, I'm not capable of going to the fair and not eating at least one of these 😍
.
Slide 6: @themodernsoutherntable as @daisysfishshack hushpuppies and tartar sauce, the *crisp* and *cronch* on these was 10/10 would eat way too many again 😋
.
Slide 7: I did not try the new birthday cake deviled eggs this year, but...uh yep, they exist! If you are brave enough to try them, let me know what you think!
.
Slide 8: You can download the app for maps, coupons, and to vote on the people choice awards 🗳
.
Slide 9: A cool live artist at the fair who gave me permission to photograph him at work. I didn't get his handle, but please tag him if you know! 🎨
.
Slide 10: A new pizza flavor I did not try this year 😅 Starwberry jalepeno popper pizza 🍓
.
Slide 11: Another new pizza flavor I meant to circle back to and try but forgot! Pickle Me Hot Chicken, Sriracha, honey, chicken, and pickles on pizza. I absolutely loved the pickle pizza last time I had it 🍕
.
Slide 12: Tanghulu, another new item I wanted to try,but they were closed when I was there 😢 it's a street snack with skewered fruits in a hard candy shell.
.
Slide 13: $5 🌳!

I am not sure why I ended up going to the fair three times this year with different groups of people…but I’m not complaining!

Here’s everything we ate tonight at our FINAL visit to the Collier County fair this year. (Running now until Sunday March 29th) 🎠🎟️

-Mac and Doritos: Doritos loaded with mac and cheese, chopped crispy chicken, and their signature yum sauce (reminds me of bang bang sauce)

-Cheese Curds: Fried till crisp and golden. Absolute perfection!

-Yum shrimp Mac: Mac and cheese topped with battered and fried shrimp coated in “yum” sauce (bang bang shrimp sauce).

-Birria Street Taco Pizza: Served with a consume dipping sauce.

-Chocolate dipped frozen cheesecake Until
