Anzeige | With autumn settling in, the final elements of the former guest room are coming together to create both a studio space and a thoughtfully considered storage space, with spatial elements that are not only functional but also bring subtle structure to this challenging little room through their natural materials, simplicity of design and understated presence. A first glimpse is the Leaf Shelf by @formandrefine thoughtfully designed by @joonas_lutz to reflect precisely this sense of calm and the quiet atmosphere of the space, while introducing a functional layer of storage and display for everyday objects, alongside the Ordinary Storage Boxes, made at the Hans Knudsen Instituttet, which supports people with disabilities who face barriers to employment in the regular labour market.

I’ve admired the work of @formandrefine for the longest time, so it feels especially special to finally have their pieces find a place in our home. 🤎

What I’ve always appreciated about their approach to design is the respect for natural materials, traditional craftsmanship, and thoughtful production. From responsibly sourced wood to working closely with skilled local craftspeople, there’s a genuine intention behind what they create.

And I think that makes these pieces all the more special to welcome into our home.

Thoughts on the curtains? I feel it brings length into the room! But equally I’m happy for suggestions! The form and refine bench makes for a great tv stand as well!
