Well, our reign at the number one spot continues... Sorry for raining on your parade Harry! And good to hear that apparently Rein Rooney loves the song!! I tell you what tho it’s class to have a tune at the top of the charts with a sax solo in it! I can’t even think when the last one was. So that’s a good thing for the saxophone world, we need more of it. We recorded the sax bit back in January 2022 @sleepersounds studio with @claudevause. Four years ago! I remember I did a couple takes at a solo then in walks @fontainesband with carrier bags of Guinness cans. I grabbed a tinny and went back in the booth to do a few more takes, looking up every now and again to see Sam, the Band and the Fontaines boys all just staring at me through the soundproof window of the studio, which made me think ‘shit, I’m gonna have to play something good here’. Think we finished round midnight then all headed to @officialronnies, slightly tipsy, actually we were all absolutely smashed by this point. I had my sax with me and ended up jumping up with the great @alexbonemusic and his band for a tune. Class night. Then years later… Rein Me In is a number one smash hit! You just never know what’s gonna happen…

Thank you @gzphoto_ for this, a short video with it all in it.
This is what it's all about, getting the community together and giving people a platform to shine and trust me they do just that, our youngest performers were aged from 9 to 14 years old and they are phenomenal 🎶🎵🎤
Others that joined and performed made the night the best one yet and it was special because at the end I got everyone one up for a sing song and we did lean on me, perfect for the setting for a community that is like no other.
Thank you all❤️

Again, it’s been an absolute pleasure to direct and produce this video counterpart to @liamfender latest masterpiece.

@hayleywalker_ & @owen_kennedy98 choreographed this whole piece themselves in an incredibly short space of time. Without hesitation they nailed absolutely every take.🙏🏻

The genius @alihutchinson behind cinematography, never fails to amaze.
The man with iron legs @steadiopie flew a steady cam like no other.
@tomlittlewood96 who kept each and every take crisp, without fail.

And of course @tonygan1969 & @charlottekeedy pulled the production together and helped make the two shoot days flow as smoothly as possible.

And last but not least Mr Fender himself @liamfender Thank you for trusting us with this 🖤

To flourish an idea we had last year and bring it to life really does feel quite spectacular and thank you everyone being apart of the journey.

Right, here’s a few moments from the weekend of dreams.
I popped my Glasto cherry back in 2007, but I reckon the rest of the boys enjoyed their first Glasto experience!!! It’s always magical. I saw Iggy n the Stooges headlining the Other Stage in 2007 and it was the funnest and muddest gig I’ve ever been to.

Then got to see B.B King on the Pyramid in 2011 which brought an uncontrollable tear to my eye, it was simply the best live blues I’d ever heard and I don’t care if he was making mistakes at the age of 87, his feeling was still there and his songs still made people boogie.

Mad, I can’t believe I got to see a Beatle and a Bruce play the songs of my childhood, at Glastonbury’s 50th Anniversary, ah yeh our set was pretty decent too…

Watch the full gig on @bbciplayer
