My biggest takeaway from the weekend:

On sunday afternoon I was questioning why I was making more mistakes, and going off track where I wasn’t before. It felt like I was making backwards progress. until I watched the videos back and I realized if it’s easy, you’re not doing it right.

By the end of the short session with @briandrifts @thedriftinstitute I was getting more consistent, which is something I have always struggled with, and got a feel for the optimal line. It was way more challenging than just making it around the track, but felt and looked so much better and more rewarding in the end.

Despite what social media portrays drifting is not the easiest to learn, especially in a basically stock car with low power and not a lot of tools like big angle or e brake. It takes a lot of seat time and I’m learning that it doesn’t get easier, you just get better.

This year is all about going Tandem, a huge milestone in drifting where things can get rough. Thank you @joe_shiesty5.0 for trusting me over the weekend. If you’re ever thinking about drifting, I highly recommend a 350z just due to their durability. @briandrifts 350 has been through it for 2 years and still drives great. #kbdbodykits #driftcar #griproyal #drifting #350znation

Fun little progress edit of driving my first #lonestardrift event in Austin TX this weekend. Actually got videos of me driving for once. Can’t thank @fortunewraps enough for having my car ready as always! I’m already ready for the next one but for now back to Colorado.

Ended the day at @camstrainingfacility where I lost my battle against Cameron Training himself🙌 Got laps with the boys and had a blast. Competing isn’t always about trying to win, doing the damn thing is part of the journey. What a life.

Also, the new track is so sick! Perfect for low powered cars like ours and even has a cool hill/ wall setup. Stoked to see them making so much progress on this place. If you want to learn how to drift in a rental drift car, get some practice laps, or even host an event; hit up Cams Training Facility in Hutto, Tx! Thanks for having us, back for more fun today😁

I wasn’t expecting him to straiten out and went for doors. Sometimes it’s better to spin out to avoid crashes. #kbdbodykits #valinotires #driftlife #driftcar #fortunedrifts

I just uploaded two videos to YouTube documenting my first time doing a mountain bike enduro race! I would not have finished if it weren’t for @drewbbabb 🙌 We had a lot of fun and almost died. Go check it out if you’re interested (let it play all the way through in the background😁)
