Looking for something different to add to your list for next year 👀🌾
@fortwhytealive

Harvest Supper at FortWhyte Farms was such a lovely evening. We checked out the farm, and shared incredible food, drinks, live entertainment, and good company
... and yes, the chickens were my highlight😂

What makes it even better is that it’s all for a good cause, supporting youth through environmental education, outdoor experiences and hands-on learning opportunities

Basically, a beautiful evening with a purpose that goes beyond the dinner table 💕

The raffle prizes were pretty great additions to aim for; but no luck for us this time!

Winnipeg keep this is one on your radar for next year!

Did you know that we have a blog and news section on our website? It’s where we explore all things discovery in Manitoba, share exciting business updates and help you stay informed on relevant information and announcements. Our first blog post?

🍁 Embracing Seasonal Change in Manitoba

“It’s September 20th in Manitoba. It’s that time of year where the heat in your home or vehicle is on in the morning and there is most likely the sound of air conditioning whirling in the afternoon. You’re torn between what to wear and how to dress for the day. You see the low single celcius digits out right now, with the forecast jumping to double digits later on. You decide to dress in layers. A classic Manitoban ensemble. You have your shoes and pants, a t-shirt, light sweater and jacket. You even decide to grab your toque (warm winter hat) and mitts in case it’s extra cool out. You also remember a baseball cap, sunglasses and water bottle. Summer is turning into Autumn.”

Gen & Cody 🤎 09.26.2026

A moody September day at FortWhyte Alive, with the rain holding off at literally alllll the right moments.

Honestly, I think this weather was made for these two. Their very first camping trip together was three rainy days in Riding Mountain, freezing cold and figuring out how the heck to keep a fire going… so a few clouds and misting rain on their wedding day were nothing.

Gen & Cody met on Hinge back in 2021, and what I love most about their relationship is how comfortable they are simply doing life together. Brewery dates, walks outside, travelling, a little healthy competition, or doing absolutely nothing at all. Neither feels like they have to perform for the other. They just get to be completely themselves.

And that feeling carried through their wedding day.

It was relaxed, filled with their favourite people, and SO much laughter. Even with the forecast doing its best Manitoba-in-September impression, we slipped outside whenever the rain gave us a window and let the autumn colours do their thing.

Their story has already taken them from rainy camping trips to Iceland, Malta, and Banff, buying their first home together, and getting engaged in the living room on the very day they got the keys. Now they are married and preparing for a honeymoon-of-our-dreams in Australia!

Gen & Cody, thank you for inviting me to document your love. I hope marriage looks like a whole lot more travelling, brewery dates, making each other laugh, and being wonderfully weird together.

xx. Caitlin ✌🏻
