🖤💛 55th Annual Legislative Conference | Brain Trust 🖤💛

Our 5,000 Role Models of Excellence Ambassadors attended the U.S. Commission on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys Brain Trust during the 55th Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C.

This was a powerful opportunity for our Ambassadors to hear directly from national leaders, advocates, and community voices addressing issues affecting Black men and boys across our country.

For our young men, being present in these spaces matters. They had the opportunity to listen, learn, ask questions, reflect, and see leadership and advocacy in action. ✊🏾

We want our Ambassadors to know that their voices matter, their experiences matter, and their futures matter. Every experience in Washington, D.C. continues to expose them to new possibilities for leadership, education, service, and their future.

We are extremely proud of these young men and the way they continue to represent their schools and communities! 🎓🙌🏾

Rooted. Ready. Rising. 🖤💛

・・・
“Completers” are students who successfully complete a school’s career pathway. The @laschools CTE-Linked Learning department is visiting our schools with the top 10 highest and most improved percentage of “completers.”

On April 22, we visited the team at @foshaywolverines. Foshay’s 58.4% completer rate for the class of 2024 ranks seventh. The school has CTE pathways in Production and Managerial Arts, Financial Services, Architectural Design, Engineering Design, Biotechnology and Software and Systems Development.

This takes an incredible effort from students, staff, teachers, counselors, and administrators. Congrats to all! @laschoolssouth
