Show us work we cannot forget.

Show us fashion with a point of view. Show us beauty with an attitude. Show us something that makes us stop, look again and wonder, “Where have YOU been?”

And yes, darlings, there are themes. There are guidelines. That’s what makes it fun.

Creativity becomes terribly interesting when you’re given a world to enter — and then asked to show us how you see it.

At Faddy Magazine USA, we are about fashion, ideas and individuality. Most importantly, we are about growing our creative community, where established talent and extraordinary new voices can exist side by side.

A LOVE LETTER TO NEW YORK FASHION WEEK 🌹

As New York Fashion Week fills our city with fashion, creativity, and dreams, I keep thinking about one word: gratitude.

To every designer participating this season, congratulations. Whether this is your first collection or your fiftieth, you are sharing your vision, your heart, and your point of view with New York. That takes courage and deserves to be celebrated.

To the greeters, seaters, dressers, seamstresses, hair and makeup artists, stylists, producers, publicists, casting directors, photographers, crews, sponsors, interns, and assistants: we see you, and we thank you.

To the photographers capturing those extraordinary moments: you are preserving fashion history.

To every model walking a runway, congratulations. And to those who went to casting after casting and weren’t chosen: a “no” today does not decide your tomorrow.

To the fashion students sketching, sewing, studying, assisting backstage, or standing outside dreaming: keep dreaming. Your beginning matters.

And to those outside the shows, dressed beautifully and turning New York’s sidewalks into runways: you are part of Fashion Week, too. Sometimes the greatest fashion show is on the street.

Fashion belongs to everyone who creates it, works for it, studies it, photographs it, loves it, and dreams about it.

I also know that some people are going through difficult times. We never truly know what another person is carrying. Please know that you are seen, you are loved, and you matter. Let us all be a little kinder to one another.

And if your dream doesn’t happen this Fashion Week, please don’t confuse timing with worth.

Some roses are blooming. Others are still growing, waiting for their season.

You are seen. You are loved. You belong.

And as the incomparable Aretha Franklin would say:

“A rose is still a rose.” 🌹
