A more in depth look at the lightmeter that I've been using for all of my work over the last few months...

This is the new lux laser rangefinder kindly sent to me by @fotagogo for testing. This is my 100% honest review, I would never endorse anything I wouldn't actually use myself. I owe my wonderful followers that much. There is a link in my bio and you can use code 'WIZARD5' for a discount if you are interested 🖤

I must say I've genuinely really enjoyed using this little lightmeter, it's been spot on every time so far. I've found it was consistent across completely different lighting conditions with various film speeds and apertures. I know everyone has different tastes but for me this does the job perfectly. I've shot 10-15 rolls using this meter at the time of this post so I can't speak for the long term, but I'll go over a few pros and cons I've found so far.

Some things I've enjoyed - Seems affordable for the quality, its accurate, well built and has a nice feel. The main wheel that you use to adjust the values is satisfying to use, nice clicky tactile sounds. The buttons are satisfying to press also. The battery seems pretty good from my testing, I usually shoot one or maybe two rolls on occasion when Im out. Ive found it's only lost 1 battery bar out of 4 at the end of the shoot. It's probably enough for a few shoots on a full charge, and it charges pretty quickly too. I always fully charge it before a shoot just to be safe 🖤

Cons? The buttons take a few uses to get used to. It's just two buttons and the wheel so a lot of the UI is designed around double clicking or holding one button or both at the same time etc. I found it a bit tricky at first memorising wheather to double press, short press or hold etc. That's my only real draw back, but it does start to make sense after a few shoots! Thank you for reading 🖤

You can use code 'WIZARD5' for 5 percent off using the link in my bio. Happy to any questions. Thank you to @fotagogo and all of my awesome followers for the love and support 🖤🔥

Join me for a morning photo walk round a massive cemetery 🦇🪦🖤

Had fun testing out this 28mm optical waist level viewfinder kindly sent by @fotagogo Photos on my Olympus OM10 🔥

I restored this camera myself. It's my great uncles' original one from the 70s! Makes it all the more satisfying to shoot with :)

Let me know what you think about some longer videos with more shots? 👀 A few people have been asking for some more long form content, so im curious to know your thoughts. Thank you as always 🖤🦇

Ilford HP5 plus 35mm film
Fotagogo metal waist-level viewfinder 28mm

If you are interested in the waist level viewfinder, I've put the link in my bio. Fits on any standard hotshoe mount, handy little gadget. I've been so tempted on a Nikon F3 for its WLF, but this scratches the itch nicely 🔥

If I ever become a film addict, I won’t tell anyone. There will be signs.

Cookie lens. Fotagogo sent me the infamous cookie lens to try. What can I say, it's great for passing the time when I have to wait for a subject to move into the frame. As you can see in the video, I have to be pretty patient sometimes. It's not sharp, but the soft outline reminds me of those old disposable film cameras. Considering the price, it's a pretty fun lens. Thanks!
