Still recovering from this epic night 🪔✨ Huge thanks to the dynamic duo behind @boomierent , @nisha_saboo and @nikhil.saboo and to @lazzoni for throwing the best kickoff to Diwali season.

So grateful I got to help bring this one to life, and the best part was having my family there to be a part of it. Diwali is all about community and bringing people together, and this night was exactly that: old friends, new friends, and one of my favorite cities. NYC, you showed up. 🖤

Boomie x Lazzoni Diwali Royale 🪔✨

The largest shared Desi closet and a luxury custom closet designer came together to kick-off this year’s Diwali season ✨

Diwali is the Festival of Lights, celebrating the victory of light over darkness. AND it’s about new beginnings and renewal — we believe this message is at the heart of Boomie: giving beautiful South Asian pieces new life. In our community, something rented IS something new♻️♥️

It’s been one year since launching the app, and we’re just getting started! Thank you for everyone that showed up in full glam and danced their hearts out! We’re extremely grateful and it truly means so much to build this community 👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏽

Special thanks to @hanianis786 for putting together this special night!

This Diwali, Boomie is the only app you need. Rent your next look for every celebration.

There are people who support you because it’s good for business, and then there are people who support you because they genuinely believe in you. Photographing @withloveleena’s Elaa pop-up in SoHo felt incredibly full circle.

Over the years, I’ve had so many different eras as an entrepreneur. During one of them, I was launching my modest maternity sessions. I sent a simple email few years ago, hoping it might reach the right person. She responded almost immediately. It wasn’t a manager. It wasn’t an agency. It was her.

Even though we were miles apart, she immediately wanted to figure out a way for us to work together. She shared my work simply because she believed in it. She supported my photography, encouraged my businesses, and never expected anything in return. At a time when so many creators and influencers were charging for every post or mention, she chose to uplift another Muslim woman because she genuinely wanted to see me succeed.

And that’s exactly who she continues to be. Even at the Elaa launch, she brought together so many incredible NYC small businesses and vendors, creating space for others to grow alongside her. She understands that success doesn’t have to be a solo journey.

Leena, may every thread that conceals a body be a source of reward for you. May every woman who feels seen, comfortable, and confident in what you’ve created add to your scale of good deeds. May Allah put endless barakah in Elaa and continue to make you a source of benefit for so many others.
