As the days get shorter, when was the last time you gave yourself permission to slow down? 🌅

Nature is shifting into a different season, but so many of us are still running at summer speed. Keeping up, showing up, and moving through our days without asking what we might need to do differently.

What if this season is an invitation to pause, reconnect, and listen to yourself?

Join me tomorrow evening for Golden Hour Conversations at Four Moons Spa.

We'll explore the changing light and dark cycles in nature and in ourselves, and ask a question worth sitting with: Are you letting yourself change with the seasons?

You'll leave with a fresh perspective and something practical to take into your everyday life.

🤎 Wednesday, October 21 | 6:00 - 7:15 PM
📍 Four Moons Spa, Encinitas

Come as you are.
Bring a friend if you'd like.
No pressure to have it all figured out.
Just an evening to pause, connect, and make space for yourself.

There’s still time to join us tomorrow.

Reserve your spot through the link in my bio. I'd love to see you there! 💕

When we say we’ll meet you at the playground, we mean the wellness playground of @fourmoonsspa 🪷

Between running a business and wrangling our gaggle of boys, Christiane and I don’t exactly have a reputation for relaxing.

So we did something wildly out of character. We took the afternoon off.

Tucked away in Leucadia, Four Moons is a little world of its own. An open-air retreat where lush gardens lead to tucked-away corners for soaking, sauna sessions, seriously good massages, and doing absolutely nothing. Less traditional spa vibes, more bohemian secret garden vibes you never want to leave.

We came for a little R&R, left with goodies from their new Evoke collection, and remembered how good it feels to have nowhere else to be.

@fourmoonsspa we’ll be back!

What if you had one evening a week where you didn’t have to be everything to everyone? 💛

No one needs you to have the answers. No one needs you to hold it all together.

You can just show up as yourself.

That’s why I created Golden Hour Conversations at Four Moons Spa in Encinitas.

A weekly gathering for women navigating midlife, perimenopause, menopause, and all the changes that come with this season of life.

We talk about the things that don’t always have a place in everyday conversations. Our changing bodies, hormones, relationships, motherhood, identity, purpose, and everything in between.

Sometimes we laugh. Sometimes we get vulnerable. And sometimes, the most meaningful thing is hearing another woman say, “Me too.”

✨ No preparation needed.
✨ No pressure to share.
✨ No commitment to attend every week.

Just real women, honest conversations, and a space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood.

Come as you are. Leave feeling golden.

📍 Four Moons Spa, Encinitas
🗓️ Every Wednesday, 6:00 - 7:15 PM

If you’ve been craving a little space for yourself and connection with other women who get it, I’d love to welcome you.

Sign up through the link in bio. 💛

Rest isn’t always sleep.💤 🛌

Sometimes rest is being supported instead of holding yourself up. 🧘🏽‍♀️

It’s softening your grip.
Doing less.
Receiving more.

Rest can be a pause between one thing and the next.
A long exhale. 😮‍💨
A supported shape.
A moment when nothing is being asked of you.

And sometimes, rest doesn’t even look restful.

It can be uncomfortable to stop doing.
To stop fixing.
To stop reaching for what comes next.

Because rest is more than closing your eyes.

It’s learning how to be with yourself when there is nowhere to go and nothing to accomplish.

📐Rest has many shapes.🛏️

The way we rest, shapes our outer world.

Not sure which class is for you?

📐The Shape of Rest
A more active restorative practice exploring alignment, intentional shapes, and longer holds. Discovering rest through engagement, structure, and awareness.

🛏️Restorative Wellness Experience
A practice of effortless effort, Wu Wei. Supported postures, minimal movement, and an invitation to soften, receive, and do less.

Two different approaches to rest. Both equally valuable.

Which one do you ❤️, let me know in the comments

When you spend your days building, leading, creating and caring for everyone around you, it can be easy to forget that you need space to receive, too.

On October 28, I’ll be joining @thefemalefoundercollective for Return to Balance, an intimate evening created for women founders to step away from the constant doing and come back to themselves.

This is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect and be in community with women who understand how much we pour into what we are building.

I’m looking forward to sharing this evening alongside @fourmoonsspa , @lethasandison and @jen_soundsanctuary .

Return to Balance
Presented by @thefemalefoundercollective
Wednesday, October 28
6:30 to 8:30 PM
San Diego

Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is create space to restore ourselves.

New Moon in Libra 17°21’ | Oct 10th at 8:49 AM ♎️🌑

It’s spooky season, and right on cue, something from your past is letting itself in through the back door. (Who gave it a key?! Oops. It might have been you.)

October has felt like a cosmic déjà vu: we’re moving forward in time while the past keeps showing up uninvited.

Blame Venus. (Lovingly.)

The planet ruling this New Moon in Libra is retrograde in Scorpio, and she is in the mood to revisit things.

The New Moon arrives October 10 at 8:49 AM, and it isn’t the usual set-your-intentions Moon. This one challenges you to review whether you want that “thing” because it fits who you are NOW, or because it’s just what you’ve always done.

That’s why I’m calling this your moon to be alchemical. What comes back doesn’t have to stay what it was.

It’s also a Moon for boundaries: deciding what gets access to you, and staying strong when that gets tested.

The full New Moon download is on Substack, where I get into:
* why a ghost showing up doesn’t mean it gets to move back in
* the difference between manifesting and summoning (yes, you can still manifest)
* how to create your boundaries and stay strong in them when the past knocks twice
* what to do when Venus squares Mars later in the day
* a ritual and five journal prompts for seeing an old story with new eyes

My Venus retrograde in Scorpio piece is on Substack too, with tips for moving through this cycle with tools, not fear.

Happy New Moon in Libra 🌑♎️

Your Moon Download,
The Astrologer’s Daughter 💫
