We’ve been busy!
August and September have been our busiest months by far, and along with getting some much needed maintenance work completed on a couple of the booths, we’ve been working on some big things behind the scenes!

As ever, thank you to everyone for your continued support for this silly little passion project - can’t WAIT to show you what we’ve been working on 🤭👀

Just one month later, here’s a photo recap of my time in Toronto with @theparkcommunity and Beyond @adopteen

This trip was especially meaningful to me as it was sixth of the six stops on my adoptee conference tour AND it was the first experience I was not volunteering, working, presenting, or tabling — I was simply just an attendee.

One of the biggest takeaways from this trip was truly appreciating just existing and not having to “work” to be able to attend this needed space. Those who give also need to take [up spaces and turn off their planning, presenting, and/or perfectionist brain].

Perhaps an adoptee cliche, but I cannot state enough how much I value the effort put into adoptee spaces, especially spaces focused on 21+ and up because adoption really is a life long journey that ebbs and flows. Thank you Maddie and Shali for coordinating and navigating this in-person space.

Thank you to the Park and those who donate and support adult adoptee spaces which allowed me to attend this 21+ connection weekend.

Thank you @Taylorshennett for suggesting I apply for the scholarship, for braving the adoptee summer tour, and for roaming and rooming the adoptee spaces with me.
