Charlotte & Mitch — Cocktail Hour

Black tie, a beautiful summer’s day and champagne flowing.

Following the ceremony, guests moved into cocktail hour for oysters, caviar and an abundance of canapés by @foursideevents_ with an ice sculpture adorned with pink roses, echoing the florals from the ceremony backdrop.

Champagne in hand, portraits in between — and this was all before they even made their way to the reception

The Floral Brief: To make the roses feel as though they had always belonged there.

When we first visited Charlotte & Mitch’s private property for their ceremony, we were immediately drawn to the small garden tucked away to the side — surrounded by established trees and a fountain quietly trickling away.

It felt like a secret garden, hidden within the property. And the perfect setting for their ceremony.

When we spoke with Ali from @the_petalproject , the aim was to create a rose garden installation around the fountain that felt as though it had always been there. Not something placed into the space, but something that had naturally grown into it over time.

From the initial mock-up through to installation and the final stem, it was a real labour of love — and the most beautiful backdrop for their ceremony.

A little vision, a lot of roses, and a very special collaboration. 🌹

Ryan had two non-negotiables for their wedding day — warm mood lighting and a martini bar.

So we created a DIY martini station inside the marquee, complete with mini shakers, custom garnishes, caviar bumps (obviously) and an ice sculpture menu.

Guests were welcomed straight into the party with a choice of dry or dirty martinis, vodka or gin, all pre-filled in mini shakers by the incredible team at Fourside Events.
Olives, cocktail onions, lemon twists, pickles and caviar lined the bar ready for guests to make their martini exactly how they liked it.

Simply choose your shaker, shake it, add your garnish and continue into the party.

A detail that felt equal parts interactive, elevated and a little bit chaotic in the best way possible.
