What happens when Black and Brown women come together to laugh, cry, and clock their healing? Pure, unfiltered magic.
Our very first #LivdOnSunday IRL was a soul-nourishing, joy-soaked, deep-breath-of-a-day. From building our own bouquets (because beauty starts in our hands) to real talk with the radiant @jaye_wilson — we remembered that community isn’t a buzzword. It’s a lifeline.
We felt seen.
We felt heard.
We felt home.
As Jaye reminded us: Community is your compass. And last Sunday, we all found our way back to ourselves. To the women who came with open hearts.
To the ones still sorting through the pieces.
To the stories that cracked us open and stitched us up in the same breath.
We see you. We celebrate you. And we can’t wait to do it again.

Huge thanks to our photographer, @a_professional_i_am_not, for capturing the moment so beautifully — every frame tells the truth of that day.

Hey friends 🌿 life got a bit overwhelming and I needed to take a step back to breathe, reset, and just be.
But I’ve been missing this space and the beautiful connections made here. Grateful for this little community and hoping to ease back in slowly.
How have you been?

Anatomy of a C-section {7 Layers 🤯}

The next time someone infers C-section moms took the "Easy Way Out" show them this!

There's absolutely nothing easy about birthing a baby AND having to recover from major abdominal surgery 💯. Ask me how I know

This is WHY we need C-section Awareness Month

After having my daughter via unplanned C-section I was mind blown at the lack of education & support provided to C-section moms 🤯

So I've made it my personal mission to get this education out there & improve the standards of care.

This is a great visual demonstration of WHY proper rest, recovery, & rehab is SO important!

As you can see 7 different layers were either cut or separated to bring your baby into this world.

Underneath your scar are layers of scar tissue that need to be massaged and mobilized to prevent issues like back pain, future birth complications & the C-section shelf!

✨Healing your outer scar is only the beginning

🧐 Wondering HOW you can:

👉🏾Better prepare for your upcoming C-section?

👉🏾 Get rid of the C-section shelf, reduce the pain and numbness

👉🏾 Improve the appearance of your scar?

👉🏾 Safely return back to exercise without hurting or injuring yourself?

Comment "CAM25" below & I'll send you the 🔗 to grab my Free C-section recovery must have list, C-section scar workshop, "core restore" exercise program and more (Now all 25% OFF!)

✨Remember mamas, You're amazing. Your body is amazing. Your body did an amazing thing ❤️.

Small business Saturday!! Small businesses succeed through community support, just like #birthFUND 😉, so we’re sharing some small businesses we love if you’re looking for some rockstar business owners to support!

💜@tushbaby is an adaptive carrier that changes with your little one as they grow, making it more comfortable and convenient for carrying, cuddling, feeding—truly, whatever you need! It even works with toddlers! We’re in!!
💜@littlesleepies is sleepwear gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin, perfect for sleep or play - and all of the prints are the cutest!
💜@ourgreenhouse makes gift-giving easy with sourced fair trade products that support artisan and consumer families alike. These eco-friendly gifts help support communities around the world, so you’re not only getting great products but giving back at the same time!
💜@harperimandolls was founded by a mother/daughter duo who created dolls that celebrate the beauty and diversity of children of color, making sure every child is represented in their products.
💜 @fourthphasebox is a Black-owned women-led company that offers kits and products that support women in postpartum AND part of their proceeds go back to organizations who are fighting the maternal mortality crisis. Incredible!

Give a shoutout to your fave small businesses in the comments and let’s spread some small business support today! 🫶🏽
