Great production doesn’t start when the cameras roll. It starts with a plan.

For this campaign, we had to figure out how to capture real dialogue inside a moving vehicle, keep the talent safe, move fast, and still make the final piece feel cinematic instead of overly commercial.

So we built the shoot around the story.

Four RED KOMODO angles for dialogue coverage. A secured exterior camera setup. Drone and compact gimbal coverage for movement and scale. Then a controlled Dana Dolly push-in with LiDAR autofocus for the hero shot.

Every piece of gear has a purpose. Every angle has a reason. Every setup is designed to protect the schedule while giving the edit more options.

That’s what pre-production does.

It turns “we have an idea” into a real execution plan.

PLAN → RIG → SHOOT → DELIVER.

When I say my goal is to connect and elevate EVERYWHERE in this film space…with some of the most amazing actors, filmmakers and creatives in the industry…I mean that.

You’re gonna see some new faces.
You’re gonna see some VERY familiar faces.
But most importantly…you’re gonna start seeing more of the people behind the camera too. The ones sweating, grinding, sacrificing and sometimes actually bleeding to create the entertainment and art we all get to enjoy.

I love what we get to do.

But what I love even more is how many talented people actually want to build and create with me.

The circle is growing. The work is getting bigger. And we’re just getting started.

I’m excited. Like…really excited.

I heard Michael B. Jordan talking about how obsessed he is with getting the team right, and it hit me because that’s exactly where my head has been lately.

I’m learning more and more that the next level isn’t just about working harder. It’s about WHO you’re building with.

The right people change everything.

People who challenge you.
People who are better than you in their lane.
People who don’t need their hand held.
People who see the vision before everybody else sees it.
And most importantly…people who actually care about what you’re building together.

There are some conversations happening right now that I can’t really talk about yet. Some new relationships. Some new collaborations. Some serious people coming together around some serious ideas.

And I’m excited about what it could become.

But what excites me even more is realizing that everything we’ve been building up to this point has prepared us for it.

The proof is in the growth.

Better work. Bigger opportunities. Stronger relationships. A stronger team.

I’m not interested in just being busy anymore.

I want to build something special…with the right people.

And I think we’re getting really close.

What is filmmaking ACTUALLY??? I think it’s collaborating with a team of creatives to tell a story, while problem solving in real time on a daily basis…usually with limited resources…And yes, many of us love to do it!

One of the coolest things @jasonmitchellactor does every single set day, almost by force 😂, is make everybody stop before we get too deep into the work and thank God for the opportunity to even be there.

We have a BLAST on these sets. We work hard, create hard, laugh a lot…but starting the day the right way and remembering how we even got the opportunity to do what we love is important.

Talent is one thing. The opportunity to use it is another.

I really appreciate this production team, this cast, and everybody who’s poured into making this film happen.

Y’all asked about the camera cart…so here’s a quick little peek behind the curtain.

One thing I’m really proud of with Fourth Point Media is that we’re building more than just a production company. We’ve got a gear house that supplies almost everything we use on our productions in-house…cameras, lenses, support, monitoring, grip, lighting and a whole lot more.

Outside of generators and a few specialty pieces we may rent to others on ShareGrid, most of what you see us working with is solely provided from our gear house @reelsupply_ .

And yeah…the camera cart might be one of my favorite parts…
