It was really fun getting to work with @kayteeanne7

She took direction well and shared her dancing life story with me. It was quite interesting 😁

Thank you for a great session Miss Katherine 🙏

I hope to work with you again sometime. 😁

Exploring creative lighting, motion, and slow shutter techniques to create something beyond a traditional portrait. ✨📸

Shoutout to @spectaclephoto for his session, “Permission Granted: The Freedom to Fail, Experiment, and Create with Intention,” for the inspiration to step outside my comfort zone and get creative.

Happy National Dog Day! 📸🐾🦴

A few photos I captured and edited during the 2026 FPP Focus Conference at Joan Walker’s session, “Sit. Stay. Slay the Shot.”

This session was a lot of fun, and I definitely learned something new!

Photography is a constant process of learning and refining.

This session at FPP Focus 2026 challenged me to think differently about shaping light, creating depth, and emphasizing strength through shadows and highlights.

Thank you, @joebakerphotography, for sharing your knowledge during Fitness Lighting: Mastering Shadows & Highlights.

One of my favorite sessions from FPP Focus 2026 was diving into fitness lighting. Learning how to shape light to emphasize strength, definition, and form completely changes the final image. 📸💪🏽

Huge shoutout to @joebakerphotography for an outstanding masterclass on Fitness Lighting: Mastering Shadows & Highlights. 🔥

Three years at Focus Conference, and I leave more inspired every single time.

Continued education is something I genuinely prioritize. Being a Certified Professional Photographer through Professional Photographers of America is something I am incredibly proud of, but the learning does not stop once you earn the letters. If anything, it makes me even more committed to continuing to grow, refine my craft, and bring more to every client I serve.

This year’s conference was packed with incredible instructors, meaningful conversations, fresh perspectives, and the chance to learn from some literal giants in our industry.

A huge thank-you to:

And, of course, getting to experience it alongside my local guild buddies from Professional Photographers of Central Florida made it even better. There is just something about being surrounded by people who understand the work, the passion, the pressure, and the slightly unhinged amount of gear we all think we need. 😂

I’m heading home full of ideas, grateful for the conversations, and ready to put everything I learned into practice.

Growth does not happen by accident, and I never want to stop becoming better at the work I am so blessed to do.
