Thankful. Some moments from RESET at the Movement Lab @barnardcollege 🤸🏽‍♂️

This live experience was created in response to the Lab’s call to artists re: Artificial environments/environmental Intelligence. Performed on April 3rd.

Thank you to @caitochs for these beautiful images and to this curious & creative team.

Moments from our test run on April 2nd:

1. @cat_kirk personifying carbon capture and innovation
2. Navarra Novy-Williams (not on insta) tangled in outdated systems & designs
3. Motion capture as a metaphor for computers & AI imperfectly tracking nature. Thank you @_lovelaja for the suit! 🫶🏼
4. @cat_kirk & me describing what this transitional time and the goal/pressure of getting to net zero by 2050 feels like through movement
5. Navarra Novy-Williams in a dance about complicity & contamination
6. A discussion about interacting environmental systems and teleconnections related to climate
7. Navarra Novy-Williams dances about things that keep us wed to harmful businesses, relationships or institutions and the challenge of breaking tradition and habit
8. @princecarlosthe5 running projection and sound
9. Discussion about governmental policies measuring environmental impact of AI & ethics
10. Recommended read if AI & climate change mitigation is interesting to you too✨

Every time I see this commercial it makes me happy but also feel like, dam, I wish there were risiduals for this. I shot this commercial last year as Lead Makeup Artist. Whenever I am home I see this commercial play at least 15 times a day. Proud that my work is on tv everyday, however wouldn't it be amazing to get paid every time it played.

Have you seen it play?

Anyway shout out to my lovely talented friend @maryjohnfrank who directed this commercial and pulled me on board!

This was a reunion because I got to see and squeeze up some of my favorite boss ladies, @fprebellion who was the Wardobe Stylist and @goldieslox who was the Hair Stylist. Miss my dream team of some of my favorite ladies.
