At some point, it stops feeling like waiting.

It starts feeling like this just isn’t going to happen.

Not dramatic.
Not all at once.

Just a quiet shift where you start adjusting your life
around something that never changed.

Most people stay there.

This story shows what she did instead
when it still wasn’t getting better. Don't miss this one.

You’re still praying about it.

You just don’t think it’s going to happen anymore.

Not because you stopped believing—
but because nothing changed for too long.

And now you’re living like the answer is no…
without ever saying that out loud.

This story doesn’t stay there.
You’ll hear what she did next
when nothing changed.

It’s not just waiting that gets to you.

It’s realizing how easy it is to measure your life
against people who were never meant to have your timeline.

And then wondering if that quiet comparison
is changing the way you see God… without you even noticing.

That’s where this story starts.

What happens when the “stability” you’ve spent years building turns out to be misguided from the start?
I recently sat down with April Farlow (@fragmentsoffaith_), and her story stopped me in my tracks. She shared how a devastating detour in her 20s forced her to strip away every title, every label, and even the core beliefs she held about herself—all to find who she actually is.
It’s a powerful reminder that the purpose we’re all searching for is often hidden in the very pieces we thought were broken beyond repair. If you’ve ever felt like your life is a mess of random, shattered pieces, April’s journey is proof that there is a “kaleidoscope” waiting for the light.
We’re sitting down to talk about:
Choosing authenticity over the rigid rules we create to feel “stable.”
Why the things we try to hide are actually the map to our calling.
How to lean into the “tension” that leads to true well-being.
🔗 The episode is live now! I’d love for you to join us. Tap the link in my bio to listen to “Reclaiming Your Identity” on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Godcaster. A special Thank You to @yorkshirepublishing for connecting me with April Farlow! I’m grateful beyond measure.

✨ Sometimes the real problem isn’t perfectionism…

…it’s an identity crisis.

So many women are performing the version of themselves they think they should be.

The successful one.
The polished one.
The one who never struggles.

But when everything gets quiet…
Who are you then?

In this conversation with April Farlow, we unpack how perfectionism distorts identity and why discovering who you are in Christ changes everything.

Because freedom doesn’t come from performing better.

It comes from finally living from the identity God already gave you. 🤍

🎧 Episode out tomorrow morning on The Redeemed Perfectionist podcast.

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is three days away! Each day, I’m going to share☝🏽thing I’m thankful for (choosing just one a day is nearly impossible but I’m going to try 😝)

Today, I am grateful for this song Maria wrote last year for Thanksgiving.

These words describe a heart posture of trust and gratitude toward a God who truly takes care of His children. Praying this melody over you and your family this Thanksgiving:

“I choose to be happy, I choose to feel blessed.
I know that I’m favored by God.
I am nothing less.
I know God’s got me, through all my trials
So I choose to be happy
‘Cause I’m favored and I am nothing else
I’m full of hope for tomorrow
I won’t put my head down,
‘Cause I know I will win.
I’m full of hope for my tomorrow
And I won’t put my head down
‘Cause I’m sure I will win”
