Here we go again… pushing myself with this painting.

I was asked to participate in the @frames.unlimited PostPrize event and I couldn’t be more excited!! From 10/14-11/22 you can view and/or purchase this piece at the Frames Unlimited Gallery on 28th Street in Grand Rapids, MI.

Artprize 2026!!🎨
My floral silk painting “These Are The Wildflowers”, is on display at Brush Studio! I’m so grateful.

My process for this piece starts with outlining my flower shapes on stretched silk, I use gold puff paint. Once the puff paint is dry, I paint with vibrant fabric dye. The silk painting is then removed from the stretchers and framed, (thank you @frames.unlimited)!
My inspiration for this piece was the wildflowers I see all around Michigan during the summer months.
Each flower is a representation of the unique and beautiful people who make up our lives. These are the wildflowers, which shape our world.

creepy side out. i don’t often professionally frame my work but am glad i did for this one as it was my first ever punch needle project. 🥹 special thanks to @frames.unlimited for their expertise! it couldn’t have been easy to pin this thing back, i’m stoked with the results.
