As I reflect on my life, I can’t help but wonder if it’s a sign of maturity or simply coming into my own as a man. I’ve experienced a spectrum of emotions: regret, gratitude, sadness, joy, magic, and laughter. That’s part of the human journey, isn’t it? I’ve made my share of mistakes, and while I wish some hadn’t happened, I recognize that they’ve shaped me into the man I am today—someone who is kinder, more honest, and capable of love.

But let me be clear: I’m not a doormat for anyone. I’ve faced my fair share of betrayal and hurt, which has revealed the true character of those around me. I’ve learned to distance myself from those who don’t belong in my life. Instead, I strive to see the world through vibrant and kind eyes.

Sometimes, I feel as if I’m observing life from a distance, taking note of all the trivial worries we cling to, myself included, and I find myself questioning why. Then I ground myself, refocusing on the blessings life has bestowed upon me. So, here’s the bottom line: I choose joy, happiness, and love every single day. Some days are a challenge, but ultimately, this mindset is forging me into a better man for myself and those I hold dear.🫶🏼
