Ontario’s home building industry has weathered decades of economic uncertainty, policy shifts, labour shortages, and changing market conditions.

This conversation brings together industry leaders who have experienced multiple housing cycles—including the boom and downturn of the early 1990s—to reflect on the lessons they’ve learned, how today’s challenges compare to those of the past, and what gives them confidence about the future.

Another great panel at the 2026 OHBA Conference, presented by Enbridge. If you're still interested in attending, contact events@ohba.ca for registration.

A major milestone for Port Credit! 🚧

DiamondCorp and other members of the Brightwater partnership were pleased to attend today’s girder launch for the Port Credit Active Transportation Bridge.

Congratulations to Councillor Dasko and the City of Mississauga on reaching this important milestone. The Brightwater partnership is proud to support an initiative that will strengthen active transportation and connectivity in the community.

Located north of Lakeshore Road, the approximately 65-metre pedestrian and cyclist bridge will span the Credit River, connecting Port Credit and its GO station with the Mineola West neighbourhood.

We’re excited to see this important piece of infrastructure take shape and look forward to the positive impact it will have on the community.

We have an incredible panel of strong women for the Next Generation of Leadership.

Leadership across Ontario’s home building industry has continued to evolve, with more women stepping into executive, governance, and advocacy roles at every level of the association. This conversation brings together leaders from across the federation to discuss their personal leadership journeys, the changing face of the industry, lessons learned along the way, and the opportunities they see for the next generation of home building professionals.

From leading local associations to serving as the first female Chairs of the OHBA and CHBA, these women have helped shape both the industry and the organizations that represent it.

Allenbury Gardens brings together new housing, shared amenities and landscaped open space as part of @torontohousing’s revitalization of its North York community, in collaboration with @framslokker.

The redevelopment introduces 1,078 homes, including 127 rental replacement units, across a mix of townhomes, mid-rise buildings and residential towers ranging from 10 to 24 storeys. Black iron spot brick defines the townhomes, while glass and white precast concrete give the towers a lighter expression.

Throughout the site, landscaping connects the inner courtyard, exterior terraces and central public park, creating a network of shared outdoor spaces complemented by an indoor gathering space, daycare, playground, splash pad, dog run and adult fitness equipment.
