My first feature as a cinematographer will be having its world premiere at @filmfestlocarno in the Concorso Internazionale! The film was so fortunate to have the team that we had, you would find yourself very lucky to ever work alongside any of these amazing people 🫶🏼 Manhunt has been a constant in my life for the last two years, working in the ways I could offer to the film. It feels surreal to let go and see it in the world. I’m very proud to finally announce that my new film, MANHUNT, will have its world premiere at the @filmfestlocarno in the Concorso Internazionale. This film was a long time coming. And it was made against the odds — institutional, financial, personal, and otherwise. MANHUNT is a film about young men trying to disappear into a fantasy of freedom, and about the world that fantasy comes from. It is also, for me, a deeply personal film about friendship, loneliness, masculinity, colonialism, and the terrible dreams people inherit. To premiere it at Locarno, in official competition, means more than I can really say. I’m grateful, overwhelmed, and proud of everyone who carried this film here. Maarssii @giona.nazzaro! I shot my first feature two summers ago in British Colombia. Tomorrow, some very exciting news will be made in regard to where you can watch it! With only a few people making up the entire cast and crew, we all became the closest of friends when we set out on the most incredible road trip I’ve ever been on to make it. I’m excited to share more with you tomorrow about our film, but today I hope you can enjoy some pictures I took along the way. I’ve never put more of myself into a project, I can’t wait for you to watch it 🫂
