This little boy has a birthday today! He was born in 1934 in LA, raised in Mexico City, he is still married to my mother and residing in the avocado capital of the world, Uruapan, Mich. México. I am truly grateful and blessed to have both of my parents celebrating life together today. 🍷💕🎂💝 Pictured here with his father, Norman N. Jemal, a charismatic and unique Turkish, Lebanese, Sephardic Jew self made man who lived it up & experienced ‘The American Dream’ - from the Hollywood Hills to Honolulu, Hawaii to NYC, he charmed his way through the world speaking 15 languages. His mother, Phoebe Roberts, was an aviatrice inspired by Amelia Earhart, a college graduate a woman of determination, class and poise, pioneers of Fort Worth, Texas, friends & family of #TCU and most importantly, an exceptional mother and woman for the times! What a combination of genes! Happy 86th Birthday dad, to a man that mastered all the fast toys in life, motorcycles, fast cars and airplanes! It is hard to see you’ve slowed down a bit. One of my sweetest memories in life will always be the days we spent together in Santa Monica after your non-stop cross country solo feat from #Jacksonville Fla. to the #SantaMonicaPier, my brother Mauricio Jemal and I were there to see you arrive in a little over 34 hours! WOW what an amazing accomplishment right before turning 80! We popped the champagne and you said, “I have to do it all over again!” Hahaha! Unstoppable! Cheers Gogo!
