• Elrie & Francois • in 7ish months Francois will be able to say "maa wiiife!"

I wish there was a Borat emoji but I sincerely hope everyone here understands my humour.
Elrie faced her fear of heights during this engagement shoot! I had no idea when I was scouting spots along Chapmans Peak that some were maybe a bit too adventurous! Nevertheless, we had so much fun and probably yapped more than we took photos 😂

Our overnight in the Delta 🛶🐘🔥✨

1. The sun started setting at camp. Here we’re both still excited about what the night has in store for us 🌅
2. Our safari jeep did the mostest; driving through potholes and rivers to get us to the mokoro 🛶
3. Quick little selfie before the adventure into the Delta continues ❤️
4. Steve’s brother paid us a visit while we were making the change from safari jeep to mokoro - how fun 🐘
5. The cutest welcome from the team upon arrival at camp 💃🏼
6. Uno flip to pass the time before our sunset mokoro 🎲
7. Francois taking his chance to learn how to be a poler. Pablo gave him an A+ clearly 🤙🏼
8. I took a jab at being a poler. Safe to say, Francois was a lot more gracious than me 😂
9. On our afternoon mokoro. The group requested hippos, so we’re off to try and find them 🤌🏼
10. Found some friends 🦛 Such a wild experience!
11. Kenny, our poler, did the mostest and was such a vibe 🥹
12. Fun fact: never try to turn around your seat in a mokoro unless absolutely necessary 😏
13. A beautiful sunset over the Delta 🧡
14. A calm Delta at sunset, right before the evening festivities 🥳
15. Traditional campfire songs where they told the most amazing stories about the Delta and its people ✨
16. Our skyline for the evening 🌌 Ironically, this was one of the few nights it did not rain.
17. 5:30 am wake up call could’ve had worse views 🌅
18. Almost fell asleep in our mokoro on the way back to the jeeps - safe to say, I had a sleepless night 😴
19. Purple rollers on our way back to Maun 💜
20. In the Delta they call these cuties “African taxis” 🫏

Snippets from our latest adventure 🇿🇼🇧🇼

(1) Bathroom break in Chobe National Park as part of our sunrise safari 🐘
(2) An angry Victoria Falls (not the main falls since I did not have a poncho and was already sopping wet at this point) 💦
(3) Thinking I saved money by not buying a poncho - I was proved wrong less than 5 minutes later ☔️
(4) Victoria Falls bridge connecting Zimbabwe and Zambia 🌉
(5) Border crossing into Botswana. Remember to take out ALL of your shoes - not just 1 additional pair 🥾
(6) Our view at the start of our Chobe River. Yes it did rain again, and yes I still did not buy a poncho 🪾
(7) My first official session of exposure therapy with elephants and no better place to do it than on the Chobe 🛶
(8) Bath time for this Ellie 🐘
(9) Our first wildlife sighting on our morning safari in Chobe NP 🐒
(10) Friendly fighting up close 🦛
(11) After 2 hours and no more coffee left, we finally spotted this magnificent beauty 🦒
(12) Probably the most exciting spot of the day. A lioness on the hunt. Less than 5 minutes later, the Impalas spotted her and she had to hide again 🦁
(13) The cutest little coffee cart on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere ☕️ If you ever make your way from Kasane to Nata, do yourselves a favor and stop!
(14) It’s you and me, and me and you, and our friend Steve at Elephant Sands 🐘 try and spot the elephant. Spoiler alert: he came a LOT closer!
(15) Steve living his best life and testing my exposure therapy treatment 👀
(16) Rainy season didn’t offer many opportunities for sunsets and sunrises, so we had to capture this beautiful view 🌅
(17) Guess no one has privacy when they go to the bathroom anymore 🛁
(18) Pit stop at Kuru Art in Ghanzi. A local project offering opportunities to the local San community.
(19) Last signs of civilisation before our overnight in the Delta. Separate post will follow documenting that experience 🦓
