Officially one year in San Francisco and all I can do is count my blessings that every day these past 12 months have been filled with nothing but joy, adventure, and adoration.

I could only hope to capture the endless love I’ve been graced with in a single post, as the countless cherished stories would overflow even a thousand stills.

Nevertheless, I wanted to thank each and every person I have befriended and to everyone I’ve bonded closer to, you are the reason why my laughter will forever echo, my smile is permanently fixed, and my heart has been truly complete.

Thank you for making San Francisco a home teeming in beauty and love 🫶🏽.

Thanks so much to @downbeat_mag for recognizing our students at @fresnostatejazz

Our Fall 2024 Fresno State Jazz Orchestra came in 2nd place internationally in the Downbeat Magazine Student Music Awards for Undergraduate Large Ensemble.

It has been a complete honor and pleasure to serve these incredible young musicians.

We just recorded a live album too, details to come.

Thank you POW, for everything. 💚🤎

The talent, passion, kindness, and uniqueness of this group extends beyond words.
I am unbelievably grateful to have had a final ageout season so full of joy energy at every turn and to have gotten to play alongside truly some of the most wonderful people in the activity.

This season was such a gift to me, in every aspect. From getting to play alongside multiple new friends, reconvene with old friends, push myself to the limit musically, mentally, and physically, and be able to walk out onto that floor for finals retreat, this season has been an absolute dream come true. A fantastic "one-last time."

A very special thank you to my staff as well, @znovack @_txt18_ @leelawhatley @_marlonblair_ @_whitneytaylor and @christianyvdo for all the care and compassion you poured into our front ensemble throughout this season and for having the care in striving to get us to perfect all the details -all the small stuff, the little things.

Dear younger me... it got better,
and as this chapter closes in my life, I pleasantly look forward to what the next chapter holds for me. 📝

“If you don’t take chances, you’ll spend your time wondering what could’ve been.”

This season I took a chance and joined a new ensemble on an instrument I’ve never played in the marching activity, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

I’ve met some of the most funny, caring, and talented players and instructors at POW. Looking back, I can safely say I chose the right ensemble to spend this season with.

I won’t be wondering what could’ve been but instead reminiscing on what I had and looking forward to what’s to come with this amazing group of people.

As I close the final chapter to my marching career with pow percussion, words can not describe how grateful I am to have marched with such an amazing and talented group of people. Thank you to the staff and the members for helping me have an unforgettable age out season.

Pow pit you were probably the best group of people an age out could ask for. We made a lot of funny bits and shared a lot of mangoes. I’m really going to miss all of you guys, but I’m really excited to see what you guys do in the future!

Dear younger me,
I’ll leave you with this advice, life is too short so never be scared to be the biggest version of yourself. You’ll learn to love and cherish the people you met along the way and the lessons they taught you.
