In honor of one whole month married, sharing some of the little details that helped make our day authentic to us ✨

First, instead of an official wedding party, we had these awesome cutouts made of our girls Darla & Macee and they stood at the altar with us as we said forever 🐾

Then… in honor our four legged girls, we asked guests to consider donating at least one item for @acctphilly, the shelter that first found Darla. Probably our favorite detail, because man did our loved ones show up! These donations will greatly help @acctphilly in the coming winter months, and we can’t wait to drop them off together in early November. #adoptdontshop❤️

Shawn’s boutonnière (and all the dad’s) was wrapped in a piece of my brother Brandon’s shirt & had “Heather” flowers included…

(You don’t even need to see his face to know how handsome Shawn is)

My bouquet was also wrapped in Brandon’s shirt and had Heathers… 💙

My twin cousins and best friend Daria who gave speeches at our wedding, and several of my closest ladies had corsages with Heathers in them and a blue flower for Brandon 💙.

An @uno themed ice sculpture because we love board games and collect all different kinds of UNO decks 🃏

Gold Pom Poms to wave when we entered instead of napkins, and honestly all weddings should use Pom Poms. We bought the whimsy!!! ✨

Oh and instead of table captains, we had table Ben Franklin’s with hats from the @amrevmuseum in true Philly fashion. @samsellspanj was MADE for this roll. They kept the party going and the vibes up all night. 🇺🇸

Our candle sticks were navy blue and chosen by Shawn to match his suit and my shoes. We had a whole romantic moody vibe going 🕯️

@beautifulbloomsevents you truly outdid yourself.

My engagement ring came from @stevensingerjewelers where Shawn’s dad bought his mom’s ring. Our wedding bands were custom made with @frankdarling and are matching black & white diamonds 💎. Except mine only has 3 black diamonds to represent the years we were together before marriage.

Shawn had his nickname for me engraved in my band (god I married a good one)!!

As a wedding gift, Shawn went back to @stevensingerjewelers to get me a matching peridot necklace a

COMING TO A SAVE THE DATE IN YOUR MAILBOX SOON 💌

i’ve known @shainahylton since 2018, when we did a photoshoot in the snowy foothills of boise, and when i started wedding planning, i knew i’d want her to be a part of our special day 🎞️ we planned this engagement shoot back in april - for her to fly out to NYC - and the week leading up to it, there was a nor’easter on the forecast. being the planner i am, i was FREAKING out. when the day came, we rolled w/ the punches, and i can truly say our love could not have been better captured. so happy to document and include our neighborhood that we’ve lived in for the past 5 years 🚕🗽 #engagementshoot #nycphotoshoot
