Time to share some mahi! 🎬 @disneyzombies 4 is finally out! My first ever Disney gig and the vibe on set was unmatched. Everyone was singing, dancing, and just buzzing the whole time! 💃🎶

I was lucky enough to jump on as an additional hair & makeup artist early last year and had the best time glamming up the insanely talented dancers and background cast 💄✨

Huge thanks & aroha to @anadewitt @julzbabeberry @susiesparkle67 for getting me on board I learnt so much! I worked on my attention to detail as Disney is all about the perfect pony, winged liner, bun etc! Finessing my skills and learning from the other talented makeup artists that have been in the game for decades was a major highlight! Big love to all the amazing crew and cast involved 🫶🏽

The last video (and my favourite)
For @letstalkconsentnz produced and directed by the amazing @gennhawkins

For this one I wanted to give a special shout out to @m._diamond22 I am an absolute novice when it comes to lighting so this project truly would have been nothing without his dedicated planning and hard work. Basically I would find a frame I liked and say to maihi “make it pretty” and he would kill it every time. I have so much respect and appreciation for you my friend ❤️

Two more of the @letstalkconsentnz videos produced and directed by the wonderful @gennhawkins
The first video was written by my beautiful girlfriend @hayley_skidmore ❤️

This time wanted to write a special thank you to @jame.dent who did the sound design for each of the videos. Along with fixing all the sound James wrote music for all the videos that really really brings them together and adds a super professional feel to our zero budget shoot haha
also thanks to @samuel_aamuel who did a little bit of everything. Sam really just took whatever job I threw at him and ran with it. Our first shoot day he was helping to light and running me batteries and lenses and keeping the rain off all of my gear. The second day I made him fill in sound recordist and he learned all of Ant’s gear the night before and did a perfect job.

Getting a little too earnest here but we couldn’t have made this without either of you boys and I love you both dearly.

Now that the full series is out on @letstalkconsentnz I thought I would do a wee post with some of my bts stuff from the many many hours of planning and conversations that @gennhawkins and I had in the lead up to filming.

I have to say how fun it was to work with your friends who you love on a project that you care so deeply about. So much love and mahi poured into this.
