Richard Herzinger was a german journalist and publicist. He died on October 15 2025; I met him countless times on demonstrations and events, where he was raising his voice in support of Ukraine, Georgia and Israel. His razor-sharp analysis, his clear moral position and his unapologetic fight for freedom and democracy always was a guiding light of truth; yet of course he was not undisputed by some uneducated people labelling him a “radical”. On October 2 this year, @pilecki_institut invited to a presentation of a new book with a collection of his essays, published by Thierry Chervel in Heinrich & Heinrich Verlag. Patryk Szostak moderated the beautiful evening with @roderich_kiesewetter, @lindateuteberg and @tchervel discussing and reading selected essays of the complex collection of Richard’s published decades spanning work. I recommend buying this essential book for everyone interested in today’s geopolitical situation- and if want to support local booksellers get it at @buchhandlung_montag. Rest in power, dear Richard - and Thank You for your tireless work on the right side of history. 🙏💖🙏

💙💛 Zehn Jahre Orden des Heiligen Panteleimon in Deutschland – zehn Jahre Menschlichkeit, Mut und gelebte Solidarität

Die diesjährige Zeremonie des Auslandsrates in Deutschland fand zum ersten Mal direkt in Berlin statt. Gleichzeitig setzte sie die bewährte Tradition fort, Menschen und Organisationen auszuzeichnen, für die die Hilfe für die Ukraine keine einmalige Geste, sondern eine langjährige berufliche, humanitäre und zivile Mission geworden ist.

Wie die Organisatoren des Jubiläumsabends betonten, besteht die Hauptmission des Ordens nicht nur darin, herausragende Persönlichkeiten und Initiativen zu ehren, sondern deren Geschichten für die breite Öffentlichkeit sichtbar zu machen. Denn aufrichtige Anerkennung kann eine starke Inspiration sein, die zu neuen Partnerschaften und gemeinsamen Projekten führt.

Jede Nominierung an diesem Abend war ein Symbol unermüdlichen Dienstes. Dank und Anerkennung gebühren jeder einzelnen Person und Organisation, denn jeder Beitrag bringt uns dem Frieden näher.

Цьогорічна церемонія Закордонної ради в Німеччині вперше пройшла саме у Берліні. Водночас вона продовжила традицію міжнародного визнання людей та організацій, для яких допомога Україні стала не одноразовим жестом, а багаторічною професійною, гуманітарною та громадянською місією.

Як зазначили організатори ювілейного вечора, головна мета Ордену полягає не лише у вшануванні видатних людей та організацій, а й у тому, щоб зробити їхні історії помітними для ширшого суспільства. Адже щире визнання здатне стати потужним натхненням, а натхнення — привести до нових партнерств і спільних ініціатив.

Кожна номінація цього вечора стала символом невтомного служіння. Подяка та визнання належать кожному, адже кожен внесок наближає нас до миру.
