Had a lovely time at @nightofthejack last weekend with thanks to @dj.bruja and the @horror.hos for the invite! (Belated catching-my-breath post lol). Also conquered @rothauntedhouse, which scared me good a few times (and had some awesome haunted house effects that I’ve never encountered at HHN). I choreographed a new vid for @dj.bruja. Today might be a good day to blast “Break Free” and dance around!

• @dj.bruja Break Free was inspired by our addiction to technology, social media consumption, and my favorite documentary by John Carpenter, They Live 😎

I originally brought the song to @sejonavajas and he used his poderes chingones to help me finish it at @4thstreetrecording. When I showed the song to my badass choreographer friend @claudiadolph she immediately brought me a vision for the music video that I loved, even though she forced me to dance 💃

Thanks to everyone who made this video happen, including my actual professional backup dancers @scarlett___smyth & @scrimstreet, @patricksantaana and his team for making us look pretty, and @franktheeditor for being my Roger Deakins. I hope Break Free inspires you to drop your phone and dance the numbness away 🪩

I usually spend my birthday in the peace and quiet, so I appreciate getting back to technology and drowning in a flood of sweet messages from humans and replicants I love. Saturday: So many good hugs! Had a blast celebrating the pretty Pisces @brianwcollins and @chelseastardust Hardly took any photos because I get too excited to talk to friends, but I do have a small collection of staff picks and got the birthday girl’s recommendation in there. Grateful to have good folks to celebrate.

Taking a moment to appreciate the highs of 2025.

Photo 1 & 2: I’m SO lucky to get to see my family in NY often, but it’s been a very long time since my mom came out to LA for a visit and it meant THE WORLD to me to get to share the life I’ve built there with her.

Photo 3 & 4: Similarly, it’s been a while since my sister’s seen me “do my thing,” so having her there for one of my biggest moderating gigs of 2025 was so special.

Photo 5: I am obsessed with my job. I’m so grateful to get to do it. I love it with every ounce of my being. Winning the ICG Press Award was a dream come true. Loving what you do SO much and getting an award that basically says, “You did good,” is one of my most cherished professional experiences. Not just of 2025 … ever.

Photo 6 + (Video) 7: This is a 2025 memory I’ve thought about quite a bit. Dave Franco and Alison Brie are always so incredibly warm and lovely, but this particular moment was such a wonderful reminder that the work we do on the press side of this business can matter. Will forever put great thought into all my film coverage and use the opportunities I’m lucky enough to have to boost artists I believe in.

All the Rest: Saved this for last because I’m including as many pictures as I can for it. Not one moment. Just a general appreciation for my friends. How did I get so lucky to have people like this in my life? All beautifully singular, talented, loving. You all keep me inspired and my heart full. Cannot wait to make even more memories with you in 2026.
