Franny POV

Last year all I knew is that I’m competitive and love a new fitness challenge. I was so humbled by this race. But also invigorated. I immediately knew I needed to do another one.

For mixed doubles, both partners use men’s weights. My biggest challenge was sled pull (luckily Alec was able to take over and do the majority) so I’ve been working hard to build muscle. I’m excited to see what changes there will be this year both individually and as a team!

Alec POV

Franny convinced me to do our first Hyrox last year. Going in I had no clue why we were even doing it. In the end I had a lot of fun and this year I am genuinely excited.

The past four months I’ve trained a lot, and this year I should be able to actually contribute—especially on the ski erg, lunges, and wall balls—three big areas of weakness at our last race!

March 2025 we completed our first Hyrox. A year later we are back at it again, and this time we know what we are getting into.

Join us as we try to cut off some time at the June NYC Mixed Doubles race!

What a beautiful way to cap off the Christmas holiday season before welcoming in 2026. 2025 was a hard year, and ending the year with a trip to San Diego was a great way to close out!

From sunsets at Coronado Beach, to a whale watching tour that featured birds and dolphins. Old town San Diego and the rest of the cities hot spots delivered in remarkable ways.

Also featured in this post were actual Christmas/Thanksgiving family holiday events spent in the Colorado mountains on the ski slopes and at Christmas Eve services with Red Rocks Church.

Happy Holidays to everyone, and cheers to welcoming in 2026 over the next couple of days!
