How do you make something humble, look expensive?
We began where every idea begins, a canvas.

For us designers it is with calico, the fabric of first attempts.
Flowers laser-cut from that same humble cloth echo the batik kawung pattern, their edges left frayed, exactly as intended.

The skirt was born digitally in CLO3D, before being folded, by hand, into an origami pleat made real.

This was the moment that changed Maison Yunemi’s direction.

Look 2 — A Reimagined Camouflage Jacket | #SOLACE
What was built to help us disappear, remade into something meant to be witnessed.

Horsehair crinoline, once hidden beneath a suit's structure, steps into the light, laser-cut into the shadows of trees, sewn by hand.

The sleeves take their shape from Japanese lanterns, moving like branches caught in wind.

What reads as a printed pinstripe is, in truth, embroidered by hand, thread by thread, in sashiko.
A traditional Japanese embroidery and stitching technique that uses simple running stitches to reinforce, mend, or decorate fabric.
