✨Wednesday’s with Wes✨

One of the greatest career advantages you can have is people who believed in you before you fully believed in yourself.

Last week, we talked about gratitude and being present through every season of life.

This week, I’ve been reflecting on the people who helped shape the seasons that built me. A large part of my professional growth here in Nash was with LPC (now Willow Bridge).

This photo takes me back to a chapter of my career that challenged me, stretched me, and ultimately helped me grow into the leader I am today. Now… let’s talk about the people who mattered then (and still do matter).

The people in this picture weren’t just coworkers or executive leaders:
• They were mentors.
• They were advocates.
• People who saw potential in me and pushed me to think bigger.
• They challenged me when I needed it.
• Supported me when things got tough.
• Helped me build confidence in moments of self-doubt.

And what means the most to me now:
• 1 • We still support each other
• 2 • We still help each other recruit
• 3 • We want what’s best for each other and our companies

Here’s how I view it - we are ONE industry. Sure we work for competing companies, but at the end of the day, we are ONE community that gets better when we support each other, encourage each other, and continue to build relationships instead of walls.

Titles change.
Companies change.
But genuine respect and connection lasts.

As I continue growing in my own journey, I’m reminded how important it is to not only work hard, but to help bring others up along the way too. Together we are building a stronger multifamily community in Nashville - and for that I am proud.

None of us get where we are completely alone. I’ll always be grateful.

Tag someone that you’ve grown professionally with and reconnect to share in the joy of what you built together. You’ll be glad you did. Spread The Positive today 😁

✨See you next Wednesday✨

An incredible night at the Greater Nashville Apartment Association Awards Disco Gala! 🕺🏼🪩 It’s truly an honor to be entrusted by the GNAA membership to serve a second term as Chairman of the Board. Grateful to work for an amazing company and to have the support of friends, colleagues, and fellow board members—your encouragement means more than you know. It’s going to be an amazing year!

Still smiling from this week…Sponsoring partners I adore, celebrating their leadership, and having the honor of toasting their VP as he was inducted as NAA Chairman. 🥂

Moments like these remind me exactly why I do what I do — connection, collaboration, and community. 🤍
