@fl2k was hands down one of the funnest events I’ve been to! Look at how packed BMP was! We qualified 10th out of 89 cars in the street car class. New PB of 7.46 at 183mph with a 1.14 60’. We were really going to start getting after it but the clutches in the trans had enough in round 1 of eliminations. @overcrestproductions Arkansas Adventures! The true test of the GC8 was crossing the country for the second time in 4 months and eating wheel bearings like M and M's the whole way.

There were some incredible roads on that trip. Arkansas is a map of beautifully paved ribbons of asphalt with lovely small towns and everyone's favorite roadside sandwich spot @hagarvillegrocery

At the conclusion of an action-packed day at TX2K26, all eyes turned to the highly anticipated 2JZ vs. the World race.

The spotlight was on Brett LaSala, who faced a challenge far greater than simply winning the class. He was chasing history — breaking the 5-second barrier in the quarter mile.

As the moment drew closer, the bounty continued to grow. Peter, 1320Video, White Rice, and Underground Racing all contributed to the prize pool, which eventually reached an incredible $36,000.

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for.

Brett made his final attempt and delivered an absolutely historic run — clocking a staggering 5.87 seconds.

With that pass, Brett didn’t just win the race. He achieved what many thought was impossible and walked away with the massive $36,000 prize, after one of the most exciting finishes in TX2K history.
