When @fredadjavon reached out a while back, I thought this was going to be routine. I was wrong! Culturefest at @ashesi ended up being an immersion I didn’t see coming.

What a privilege it was to spend last Friday with this many great minds talking music business, fashion and culture as we know it. Ghana’s creative economy must work for us all!

Special thanks to @koma_eb @thomas.theplugg @eoahere and @afrolektra for accompanying me on the music panel.

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of co-organizing and hosting CultureFest at @ashesi with @sauna.gh and @theimullar. The idea was to bring Accra’s finest creatives across different industries to educate the Ashesi community on the business of being a creative in Accra.
After the panel discussions, we partnered with @haus302gh to host an interactive DJ workshop that aimed at giving attendees the foundations of DJing.

iMullar and Sauna GH come your way with the activities and the program lineup for Culture fest Day 1 and 2. Day 1 will include a film showcase, 3 panel discussions revolving around Music, Art & Culture and Fashion. There will also be a Dj and Production workshops along with a masterclass for content creators happening on 2nd October on grounds at Ashesi University.

Day 2 happens at the Afrikana Beach House in Accra on October 3rd; The Culture Fest after party dubbed “Horns In The Sun” championed by Sauna GH.

It’s unfair that the Black Stars of Ghana can’t wear the white jersey kit until after the group stages. We might not even get the chance to see that beautiful design if we don’t progress beyond the group stage. - @fredadjavon
