MOTHER — premiering at @thejoycetheater

A new full-length work by @gallimdanceco , choreographed by Andrea Miller.

MOTHER conjures a sensual, haunting world beyond human myth. Through virtuosic intensity and fearless physicality, Miller confronts what she calls the “Apocalypse of Matter”—our growing distance from touch, skin, and organic surrender.

At its core is a deep investigation of the body—its anatomy, vulnerability, and power—developed through Miller’s choreography and a close collaboration with costume designer Orly Anan. Anan’s sculptural costumes act as a second skin, amplifying the dancers’ physicality and transforming the body into a living surface between organism and artwork.

With an original electronic score by Frédéric Despierre and lighting design by Vincent Vigilante, MOTHER unfolds as a visceral environment where choreography, costume, sound, and light merge into a singular sensory experience.
