Had an awesome cabin weekend with the family! Celebrated Georgia’s (soon to be) 20th birthday! 🎉 Started building a fence (figured it was worth a post)!

Hope everyone is enjoying their loved ones, those here and those gone ahead! It’s the little moments that make the magic! 🙏💯😊

We are Fools for you, Duluth! 🤘😎

But it’s an honor to have the opportunity to serve and contribute, and do what we can to keep the Lake free of plastics, styrofoam, and other contaminants!
Our grandchildren will thank us!

Today we “harvested” over 30 contractor bags that were on their way into the St. Louis River, the Lake, and beyond 😝 We have to make the time to protect the things we love, and the natural systems we rely on.

But many hands make light work!!

So, HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came out for the Highway Cleanup today! We were able to connect with some old friends, and some new!!

Special SHOUTOUT to Little Saints Street Ministry for the support and all the help!!! Couldn’t have done this without yall!

SHOUTOUT to the Pizza Ranch who contributed all of those beautiful pizzas and pop!! So generous! 🙏

Today is proof that, whatever our living situation, or wherever we find ourselves in life, we can still come together and make a difference in OUR community!

Let’s do it again soon!
Progress is a process, not an event!
But we are all in this together 🌎

🙏🙏💯💯🫶🫶🐝

Had such a blast doing my first volunteer dive at the Great Lakes Aquarium today!
Huge thanks to Jorie for being such a great instructor!

The sturgeon, in Isle Royale tanks 1,2, &3, need to be hand fed, so that the 5 species of trout (fast little goobers) don’t hog it all.

I was honestly more worried about accidentally stepping on/injuring somebody, than I was about my buoyancy or grace. They’re all over ya 😂 Made for some funny footy. (Photo cred: Fred).

But, I was amazed at how every fish had its own personality, and, without fear (thanks to the food), would approach us like cats begging for a snack.
Every creature truly has its own little personality!

Fred has been volunteering down there for the better part of a year now. So, he came down too, snapped some shots and showed me around.

What a cool experience!
The little kids were so stoked (we played rock, paper scissors ha). And I got to hug a sturgeon today :)
