I usually wait to do a re-visit with @stlcitysc player until we talk to everyone on the roster, but figured this was perfect timing for one with @_simonbecher_ ⚽️

We talked last in July on his 27th birthday right before the team traveled for the 3-1 win at @lagalaxy. Wanted to get our #allforcity striker's thoughts about things now 2.5 months and 12 @mls games later ... ready for an LAG rematch (this time with buddy @joaoklauss07 back in action) at @energizer_park on Sunday 🙌

Full video coming soon from @freedinio with @yutesmedia @yutesmediafc!

Eduard Löwen's departure from #allforcity ⚽️

From @stlcitysc:
Löwen made 2 appearances for @STLCITY2 before making his first-team debut in the club’s inaugural @MLS match 2/25/23. The German midfielder played an important role throughout CITY’s historic inaugural season – 6 goals, 17 assists. His performances earned him a place among the three finalists for the 2023 MLS Newcomer of the Year award, third behind Giakoumakis and Messi. Over his CITY career, Löwen made 103 appearances across all competitions - 23 goals, 30 assists. He ranks first in club history in regular-season goal contributions (47 goal contributions - 20 goals,27 assists).

From Edu:
"From the moment I arrived, this city and club welcomed me and my family with open arms. I’ve had the privilege of experiencing some unforgettable moments here - moments I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. I want to thank the owners for the opportunity to represent this club and their constant support, as well as my teammates, coaches, and every staff member behind the scenes. And most importantly, to the fans - thank you for your incredible support and love for me. St. Louis will always be an important part of my story and I wish the club nothing but the best. Thank you for everything, St. Louis!"

From Sporting Director, Corey Wray:
"Edu has meant a lot to this club and to the people of St. Louis. He was there from the beginning and helped create so many important moments in our history, especially in the team’s historic inaugural season but also in every season since. Edu is beloved by everyone around the club and has earned the respect of our supporters and so many others around the world through his character, strength and resilience. Decisions like this are never easy, but we are incredibly grateful for everything Edu has given to this club and for the player and person he has shown himself to be throughout his time in St. Louis... As we continue to evolve the roster, we have had a lot of conversations with Edu and ultimately, we felt this was the right time to find a solution that made sense for him and for the club. We’re all rooting for Edu and wish him nothing but the best in this next chapter.”
