Shams of The World Unite! You Have Nothing To Lose But Your Chains!

This month we're proud to be bringing you the Twilight Tavern Sessions!

The mighty Martian Subculture are coming to Twilight Thursday, they're going to be whipping up some extraterrestrial goodness that's going to make you forget all about pathetic Earthly woes like the global rise of far-right extremism and the collapse of our ecosystems

We're also happy to announce the return of the incomparable Annie Cheevers, the hardest working musician in Limerick comes back to the Tavern to deliver more of her heartrending original music

Tavern newcomer Robbie Gardiner will also be making an appearance! Robbie's work puts a compelling, modern twist on classic singer songwriter music and he's certain to bring a bit of bounce to the gaff

Kicking things off is Mr. Seán Freeney, his unconventional folk stylings and wistful lyrics harken back to the Greenwhich Village movement that inspired us to start running these sessions in the first place

The poster for this event was a canva rush job done by Liam. We were in a hurry and felt it was a little bit more morally acceptable than using AI. We're not sorry.

As always we'll be putting this on in The Tavern, Dominic & Claire are amazing hosts and we'd love it if you could buy a few drinks to support them on the night!

This event will be replacing the Sunday Tavern Session for July. There's a few thing bubbling in the Dobhar-chú pot and there might be a few changes over the next few months but we're always going to remain committed to putting on gigs in Limerick that will showcase local talent.

Folks, tis the end of an era.
Rest in peace to the dumbest and greatest purchase of my life. Until i inevitably break my new phone and have to come crawling back. Here are some of the many selfies people took on the CATastrophe.

ISSUE 002 IS BACK IN STOCK!

In what I hope will be the perfect antidote to your Blue Monday, we are happy to announce that the second issue of Semaphore is now back in stock and available to purchase at our online shop. Link in the usual place <3

Semaphore is an attempt to reclaim the sense of connection that once defined the early internet—before our dependence on it began to dull the experience of intimacy and genuine community. This is a delivery intended to satisfy the contemporary longing for the tangible—reviving the quiet, private pleasure of receiving a letter in the post.

The theme for issue 002 is Thresholds, and we’ve got contributions of poetry and prose from seven fantastic writers. In addition, there’s postcards, prints and pastels — it’s a little taste of stationery heaven.

Our last run sold out in three days, so don’t say I didn’t warn you. Thanks as always to our incredible contributors and everyone who has supported the project so far xxx

SEMAPHORE 002 IS HERE and it’s bigger and better than before. We’ve got contributions of poetry and prose from seven fantastic writers, each one interrogating the theme of ‘thresholds’ in their own weird and wonderful way. It’s all getting a little sexy, a little sad, a little surreal. Beyond that, you can expect the usual prints, pastels, postcards and a little taste of stationery heaven.

I am so proud of how this turned out and eternally grateful to everyone who has contributed and supported the project so far. This first edition is limited to fifty copies available now. Link in the usual place. Pass it on xx
