Free Mind Sessions @freemindsessions.ke has been behind the scenes working differently.

We cherished all the years we spent with you all... about 70 sessions over the last 8 years 🥹. I assure you, you have not been forgotten 🙏🏿😊.

With all thats happening in the world, and in our own back yards we found it a little noisy, quite chaotic and to be honest, it was hard for us to not get wrapped up into to it too. We also needed to free our minds and reconnect with the space that we all have grown to love and cherish over the years.

We recently had our 2nd session of the year and could potentially be gearing up for our 3rd 🤭. (Yes... slow and steady☺️)

Maintaining our familiar intimate settings , we have changed our format to cater to a much more intentional space ( more on that to come) .Still maintaining our core values , and still creating that space where you are guaranteed to meet some amazing people, and form fruitful connections whilst freeing your mind ✨️😊

Our most recent session was centered around 'Freedom'. We got to explore what that means to us individually, subjectively and also within our collective conciousness🌀.

While we search for more 3rd spaces in our community, we stay guided on how to keep our space as deliciously warm and inviting to alll ✨️🫂

A huge thank you to Mageuzi hub, PAWA254, and the Ukombozi Library for the support 🙏🏿

See you at the next one ?

... I hope so 😉

Woke up thinking of @freemindsessions.ke so here’s a compilation edit ❤️
Birthed by @green_violin (who is from planet Mercury ☺️), and run by a bunch of confident, intelligent, creative and bighearted women…

Though really, everyone else who has joined in small and big ways have been a force for Nyacomba’s dream many years ago.

I loved dreaming up the vision and curation with you @miz_soraya @ivorygitau and the brilliant genius @ah_this (from planet Pluto ☺️) who is faithfully running it with Nyacomba all this time 🙌🏾)… #foundingmothers 🤣

What a time it was to be a Free Mind… and truly thanks to people like @freemindsessions.ke it still is! I’ll definitely be attending the next ones inshallah. May your borders increase. 🙏🏾🚀🚀

What an absolute experience we had @nairobidesign_
Going with the year's theme ' WE GOT THIS' our workshop @freemindsessions.ke got participants taking turns drawing on each other's backs in pairs or groups, mimicking a broken telephone game. The person whose back isn't drawn on starts by drawing what they felt. Then, participants converse once they have their drawings, using available materials to recreate what they interpreted from the drawings on their backs. We hope to enable the promotion of collaboration and support within the industry by leveraging individual strengths, reaching out to like-minded communities, filling voids, and fostering healthy habits.

During the week I signed up for the @ananse.africa fashion workshop which was great for upcoming fashion designers in the continent ☀️🔥

@sandstormkenya have released a new collection of bags at their main shop down at @opportunityfactory that really got me thinking about my next birthday gift in May! 😊🎉

Special shout out to @marlonfhall for gifting me a @tyl3r_jvmes one piece outfit ♥️

Grateful for everyone who came by the Freedom Alley and intentionally or by accident came to our space , we couldn't have done it without you! You are truly the minds that make our sessions worthwhile 🧠💕

Until next time ...
