REPOST • @sandiegobds THIS FRIDAY! Join us in kicking off the #NationalWeekofAction to #BoycottChevron by demonstrating outside of #TwitchCon at the San Diego Convention Center! WHERE: Meet up at 5:30pm at the Convention Center Trolley Stop, Downtown. From there, we’ll be walking over together to the Convention Center to protest outside of #TwitchCon, in the hopes that next year they’ll make a different choice & refuse to partner with corporations like #Chevron who are complicit in decades of human rights abuses over the world, most recently (in 2020) partering with Israel for oil extraction & contributing to profits that fuel the ongoing genocide in Palestine! We will have flyers, protest signs, and banners ready for educating the public about why we #BoycottChevron for #Palestine! Feel free to inbox @sandiegobds with any questions on how to participate, or for media/press inquiries. #sd #sandiego #sandiegoevents ##sandiegotwitchcon #twitchcon #twitch #sandiegoprotest #protest #climateaction #endgenocide #armsembargonow #armsembargo #sandiegolife #sandiegoliving #sandiegopolitics #demilitarizethepolice #demilitarize #decolonize #decarbonize #wearamask #covid #covidsafe #washyourhands #care

Tuesday evening we are holding a vigil to lift up Sonya Massey and all lives impacted by and lost to police violence and systemic injustice. Every year, across the country on the first Tuesday of August, sheriff’s departments host community events to build community trust. Our presence is a statement of the need to look at community safety through a holistic lens, and to never erase the harm caused by state violence. Bring a photo or item for our community altar, if you’d like. [image: black and white photograph of Sonya Massey, smiling. Text: Vigil for Sonya Massey. Treganza Heritage Park. August 6. 6pm.
