Sometimes the best way to get a room thinking differently is to throw out the script.

That’s exactly what Freestyle+ brought to LPL Financial: a high-energy mix of improvisation, music, humor, and play that reminded everyone that creativity isn’t something you schedule for later. It’s a muscle you build by listening closely, staying present, and being willing to respond in the moment. Their work is rooted in using improv to help teams become more adaptable, connected, and collaborative.

Huge shout-out to Rich Steinmeier, Chief Executive Officer, Matt Enyedi, Cheryl Trinidad, Christine Steup, and Shannon Mohorc for continuing to create experiences that leave room for something unexpected.

And to Freestyle+: what a performance. Proof that some of the most useful lessons about leadership, teamwork, and communication can arrive with a beat, a laugh, and absolutely no idea what’s coming next.

Can play actually land with a room full of teenagers?

Spoiler: it did.

This is what a morning at @hobycalcentral looked like... from the beatboxing morning rituals to the moment young leaders spelled out O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G.
I’ll never get tired of this work.

I’m still wRapping by brain around presenting my paper “Beckett & His Blizzard Verse” at University of Antwerp at the 11th Samuel Beckett Society Conference @samuelbeckettsociety exploring “Beckett and Intertextuality.” During my hip-hop infused paper & demo I drew on my musical improv training with @freestylelovesupreme & then I rapped in Spanish for the first time in public surprising even me! Yo No! More in that to come… Thank you! 🫦

Feeling a little hyped (and ofc grateful) to be handpicked for the 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝘁 initiative by @google, in collaboration with @ocupop and @freestyleplus_ 🥳

There’s something truly special about when a team you admire sees potential in you!

This initiative is all about helping creators level up their storytelling and on-camera presence - and wow, the sessions delivered. Loved the actionable insights, honest feedback, and contagious creative energy throughout.

And because details matter... they even built us our own Poké Cards 🎴 My superpower = Never stops exploring!

Here’s to creating with purpose, confidence, and a little bit of fun ✨
